  • 795 921 Clinton Ave Bridgeport, CT 06604, USA - Bridgeport
893 Clinton Avenue, a magnificent historic mansion, has been targeted as a potential site for a homeless shelter. Potential residents will have substance abuse and/or mental health issues severe enough to have led to homelessness. The group has been turned down TWICE by the Zoning Board of Approvals, but they are appealing to the Zoning Commission on the grounds that this shelter will help to "stabilize" our neighborhood where older homes have "outgrown their usefulness." Hearing will take place on Monday, April 26 at 6:45 pm at City Hall. Be there if you want to preserve the historic, residential character of our unique and beloved neighborhood.
  • 131 Bennett Street Bridgeport, CT - Bridgeport
Bennett street is a mixed zone street with both commercial and residential buildings. The complete lack of regard for the neighborhood by the Electric Maintenance Company needs to be addressed. This decrepit mess of a building is directly affecting the property value and general quality of the neighborhood for it's surrounding residential neighbors. There is a constant litter problem from it's customers. During hurricane Sandy a section of the fence was destroyed, Leaving a huge gap that's been filled with piled trash which is in the direct view of the Condo building across the street. The parking lot is full of trash and litter. The wall and gate both have grafitti that has not been removed and the fence has a huge tear in it. Also, the sidewalk in front of the building is covered with debris left over from snow cleanup after the blizzard.
  • 2-114 Rusling Pl Bridgeport, CT 06604, USA - Bridgeport
SUV was stuck for about an hour at intersection until dug out by neighbors. We pay more taxes than other areas, why are our streets not plowed, Mr Finch?
