The Forest Acres Neighborhood Association (FANA) is a volunteer organization committed to enhancing the Forest Acres community.

We strive to raise awareness, connect neighbors and build community in order to strengthen Forest Acres and improve the quality of life for those who live, work and play in Forest Acres.

  • Converse And Citadel Ave Columbia, SC - Forest Acres

    All the corners surrounding the park are multi-way stops except the corner of Converse and Citadel. Traffic on Converse does not have to stop and the result is people speed past the intersection on their way to Trenholm or Clemson Rd.

    What is particularly troublesome is that there is a children's playground just a few feet away from the intersection and it is very possible that a child could dart into the street and be hit by a speeding car.

    Is now a cut through street to avoid traffic, road was not made to handle the amount of traffic that it had today

    When coming off of Chateau Dr onto Beltline Blvd, there is one median on the left and one on the right. There were two median signs attached onto the medians. Those signs are gone and need to be replaced. I oddly noticed people hitting the medians as they drive down Beltline Blvd. Not sure why, but the signs were helpful I believe for a safer driving experience in the area.

    At the intersection of Rockbridge and Trenholm, tree branches are blocking one of the stoplights from view. Of the 2 lights on Trenholm, facing motorists turning left from Rockbridge onto Trenholm, the left stoplight is blocked from view.

    Sewage pipe Work was done several months ago, road never repaired. Large pot hole nearly 1 foot deep. Very dangerous, almost got in wreck yesterday.

    water leak near parking lot since 9/14, the city has been notified several times but has done nothing about it. there is obviously gallons per minute, it is surging up through a foot and a half sized hole in the asphalt, on the city side of our meter
