    Has the city tried reducing speeds on this bridge? It could encourage more "active" transportation options for local residents.

    Painting the lane widths slightly narrower could have a significant impact on the speeding.

    We have coordinated with the City to do a general cleanup of Atlantic Boulevard (and whatever surrounding side streets we can cover, if any) from Federal Highway to Harbor Drive (NE 26th Avenue) next Saturday, November 14, from 10:00 am to noon.

    Following the cleanup, BSO has graciously offered to host a cookout in McNab Park. While the menu is tentative, we are looking at the basics – dogs, burgers, sodas.

    The traffic on our street bypassing Atlantic to SE 28th Avenue is very dangerous. The speed in which the non residents drive is scary. The first speed bump on our street is more than half way down the street so basically everyone is over thirty MPH before they get to it. Some cars go so fast the bottoms of the cars scrape the bump. The traffic on SE 28th Avenue is worse. People don't even stop at the stop signs. I saw a resident almost get hit coming out of their driveway while I was walking. Please help protect our neighborhood before someone gets killed.
