    We are smelling an awful stench from the Waste Water Treatment plant on the other side of the Wolf River. Every time we go outside, front or back, off and on for weeks now, it has smelled like a sewer. Really awful and embarrassing when guests are over! Can you please help us out in Harbor Town/Mud Island?

    Parcel# 001096 00009 (643 Looney) was a health hazard and rat breeding ground for years.
    Several years ago the city cleaned it up, but it has become overgrown again and recently I've noticed an uptick in suspicious human activity in the rear part this parcel on the Danny Thomas side.
    I'm concerned there may criminal/hazardous activity on this parcel and am requesting maintenance of this parcel for the health and safety of Uptown Memphis.

    One Beale construction started this morning (Saturday) prior to 8 am. It also started during this week prior to 6 am. The loud machines that beep when put in reverse constantly wake us up and disrupt our quality of life. We know this has been reported before. We are begging you to have inspectors enforce the rules with this construction company. Thank you.

    I am writing this formal complaint as the representative of the owners of the historical high-rise building, Memphis Merchants’ and Cotton Exchange, located at 130 Madison Avenue in the Downtown Memphis area. Our building is experiencing severe water intrusion problems, which are affecting the integrity of our basement foundation. This issue is a direct result of the adjacent parcel at 118-120 Madison Avenue becoming derelict and the presence of a small sliver of city-owned land between our building parcels, through which the water intrusion is emanating.

    The ownership of the building is deeply concerned about the safety and well-being of our residents and the preservation of our historical property. Therefore, I respectfully request that the City of Memphis take prompt action to address this issue. Specifically, I kindly ask you to:

    1. Conduct a thorough inspection of the derelict parcel at 118-120 Madison Avenue and the city-owned land between our building parcels to assess the severity of the water intrusion problem.

    2. Issue a notice to the owner of the derelict property, requiring them to take immediate remedial actions, including the proper maintenance and restoration of their drainage system.

    3. Address the water intrusion issue on the city-owned land by implementing appropriate drainage solutions to prevent further damage to our building.

    4. Monitor the progress and ensure that the property owner complies with the remedial actions within a reasonable timeframe.

    Each & everyone of are cases are serious & important to us in getting resolved. . When we see cases closed, & the issue is still unresolved , we need an answer as to why. We feel like you slammed the door in our face. If this dept can't resolve an issue, you need to tell us how we should get it solved. Forward us a contact person or another dept. This forum of reporting will fail, if we feel we aren't getting our issues resolved. We will think you are not serious about helping us & our city.
    Many are reporting also with issues with their property management & landlord, not taking care of issues . This is important to these people. They are reaching out for help. Please answer them and or direct them to how they should resolve. Each and every case is important & each deserves an answer if it is a case that can't be resolved or closed with an explanation. Don't let this forum disappoint people, because then people won't trust it & people won't report Thank you.
