Notified About

  • 149 Washington St Morristown, NJ 07960 - Morristown
On county road 510 westbound approaching the intersection with Mills St. the road opens up briefly from one lane into two. Some drivers will turn right while some continuing westward see an opportunity to move into the right lane and get ahead of those in the left. When this occurs during a red light this either creates a backup for those wishing to turn right or sets the stage for a potentially dangerous drag race when the light turns green, the problem being that the road immediately returns to a single lane. I believe the right lane should be restricted for right turns only and so marked.
  • 164 South St Morristown, NJ 07960 - Morristown
There are pt holes at every manhole going down s. street. This means that cars need to avoide the manholes which means going into the other lane sometimes
  • 142 Speedwell Ave Morristown, NJ - Morristown
5 parking spots on Rt. 202 between Sussex/Speedwell merge & Flagler St. should be eliminated to improve traffic flow. Use parking behind the buildings.
  • lots of potholes and bumps Morris st from train station through overpass of rt 287
  • 146 Speedwell Ave. Morristown, NJ - Morristown

5 Parking Spots Impede Traffic Flow: 5 parking spots on Rt. 202 between Sussex/Speedwell merge & Flagler St. should be eliminated to improve traffic flow. Use parking behind the buildings.

If you drive into Morristown from Sussex or Speedwell, PLEASE SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS. The fact that these parking spaces exist where 2 or 3 lanes of traffic, PLUS St. Margaret's parking lot, PLUS the Firehouse, is not in the best interest of the public or Morristown. Pedestrians crossing Speedwell at Flagler are in much greater risk than if there were no parking. Impeding traffic with parking spaces is not "flow control."

Western Ave in Morristown 25 MPH SPEED LIMIT cars are doing 50 - 60 mph time to start issuing speeding tickets
  • 191-195 Madison Ave Morristown, NJ 07960, USA - Morristown
wide very deep pothole as you go through the light eastbound on Madison Avenue by Friendly's.
  • 186 South St Morristown, NJ 07960, USA - Morristown
Failure to turn on red causes major traffic backup during rush hour.
  • Elm St Morristown, NJ - Morristown
Turning left from westbound Morris St. to Elm Street is difficult because it is a long intersection (under the RR tracks) and cars often get stuck in the intersection when the light turns red, causing a safety issue. A left-turn signal would allow them to turn safely.
  • 1 Morris St Morristown, NJ 07960, USA - Morristown

Parking pay machine in Dumont St lot takes FOREVER to process any payment (cash or credit). About 1-1/2 minutes to clear from last payor, very slow to recognize input, about 3 minutes to process/approve pymt.

When people are lining up to pay meter so they can shop, eat, attend concerts/church, or do business in Morristown, the least Motown public services can do is to check and repair their meters and pay machine. Quick to ticket expired meters but not to fix breakdowns.

Next time this happens, we wont pay at all and personally contest all parking violations in court before the judge.

  • 3-5 Ridgedale Ave Morristown, NJ 07960, USA - Morristown

There is no need for a delayed green light for oncoming traffic at the Morris Ave./Ridgedale Ave. intersection. Traffic going west at that light is very light, not warranting a delay. More importantly, the delayed green confuses some drivers, because pedestrians are not allowed to walk across Ridgedale until the green arrow is gone. Drivers making a left turn onto Ridgedale don't look for the pedestrians, and drivers making a free right turn onto Morris Ave can't figure out why the pedestrian isn't crossing Ridgedale when the oncoming traffic clearly has the right of way.

Plus some pedestrians don't understand the delayed green and walk anyhow, even when the sign clearly says "don't walk."

Eliminate the delayed green and confusion will be greatly dissipated. Traffic coming down from Ford Avenue is so light the delayed green is really unwarranted.

BTW, the "Don't walk" part of the pedestrian light has been broken for months.
