Bay St & Dewar St Boston MA 02125, USA - North Dorchester
This street needs the lights upgraded ASAP. Once again this week there was a serious assault and battery. The same goes for Dewar Street. This is a very dangerous area, how sad with elderly residents living in the complex there.

  • Speed hump needed Acknowledged
25-49 Bird Street Boston, Massachusetts - North Dorchester
Today there was a rollover at the corner of Bird, Virginia, and Monadnock Streets due to a speeding driver. Although there are two stop signs on Bird St as cars enter Virginia and Monadnock, drivers continually ignore the signs and cops are rarely seen enforcing them. In the warmer weather, mopeds speed through this intersection, often travelling the wrong way down the one way roads. There is a daycare on this corner and parents park on the street and carry their babies into the building. There are also at least four homes in this intersection where toddlers and young children live. At the very least, there should be speed humps installed to help slow down the traffic. These roads are one way and entirety residential, so theoretically drivers would be careful and traffic minimal. However, with the ongoing construction on Columbia road, more and more drivers have begun using Virginia and Monadnock as shortcuts to avoid traffic on the main road. Speeding vehicles has become a major problem. Please do something to help before a tragedy occurs.

  • 31 Edison Green Dorchester, MA - North Dorchester
There used to be a parking sign at the corner of the green park on Edison Green that indicated where cars could park (within marked lines). Sign is gone, and now cars park all over the place. Not getting anywhere with Mayor's Hotline... can this be replaced?
  • 19 Newport Street Dorchester, MA 02125, USA - North Dorchester
An electrical wire has been dislodged from a pole that runs between several houses. It is dangerously close to laying on top of a metal fence.
  • Mcconnell Park Barrels Boston MA 02125, USA - North Dorchester

Savin Hill Beach/ McConnell Park barrels

The barrels need to returned to the Savin Hill Beach. ASAP. There is only one barrel near the tot lot and this is at the entrance of the Dorchester Yacht Club. Today that barrel was empty sitting in the middle of the grass no where near the walkway. This barrel has been impossible to get with the snow and now with the wet weather the area is a mud hole.

Next to the main path, which leads to the beach from the parking lot, there is pile of dog waste, trash, bottles, underwear, condoms etc. See Photo. This spot usually has a barrel there during the summer. In case the DCR isn’t aware and as it says on the DCR web site, the walkway is open year round, dusk to dawn, A lot of money has been invested to restore the area so let’s try to take care of it.
