  • 3836 Sue Ellen Dr Raleigh, NC 27604, USA - Raleigh Council District B
My neighbors Jose & Sylvia Vaquiz were foreclosed on a couple years ago, and moved out of the home next door to me. The bank who owns the house hired a lawn service to mow the lawn for a while, but has stopped. The house "Owner" is apparently still listed as Mr. Vaquiz in Wake County records, however, this may not be accurate. A photocopied piece of paper taped inside a front window by "Mortgage Contract Services" @813-387-1100" alerts the reader, "We do not have sale and rent information". When I spoke with a representative, they told me that if the City of Raleigh calls them they might be able to discuss who actually owns the building with the city. The house has had its air conditioner stolen, and is decaying. A nuisance notice for lack of lawn care is taped to the front door addressed to Mr. Vaquiz. If Mr. Vaquiz is the rightful owner, I would like the City of Raleigh to assist his family in returning to their home. If the house belongs to a bank, I would like the City of Raleigh records to reflect this, and for the house to be available for sale to the many people who have asked me about it. This empty house decaying day by day is an incredible waste.

They are new resident in the neighborhood and I'm unsure if they know the city laws. They are not returning their trash receptacle after trash day, it's currently been by the curb on the street for two weeks. They are also parking on the grass which is unsightly and does nothing for the community's value.
