Notified About

  • 6222-6238 Pennsylvania 4003 Philadelphia, Pennsylvania - East Falls
Has been a dangerous construction site for weeks, now impassible on foot—no sidewalk what so ever as a dumpster is now on what was once the sidewalk + the street. Pedestrians now have to walk into the very busy Wissahickon Avenue to get through. It's a mess.
  • 3523 Sunnyside St Philadelphia, PA 19129, USA - East Falls

As reported by a neighbor- the property is a danger as well as an eyesore:

Since 2006, the jungle has continued to grow uncontrollably. It has gotten so bad that several neighbors have taken matters into their own hands and planted a make-shift garden in front of this house to mask part of this eyesore.

Beyond being a bad neighbor and an eyesore, the situation is dangerous. The front porch is rotted completely through in sections and it is not a matter of will it collapse but when will it collapse. We hope it's not when our Mailman is delivering mail. I spent a day cutting ferns down with a saw because they were too thick to cut with clippers. The ferns had grown over to my property line and were completely blocking the sidewalk. The ones I couldn't reach are almost out to the street level. When train commuters walk up Sunnyside Ave. they need to walk in the street to get past the overgrowth and away from the bees. This creates a dangerous situation because many R6 commuters also drive up Sunnyside Ave, and now you have people walking in the street with cars speeding by.
The front of the propertydoesn't hold a candle to the back of the property. The back yard 3523 Sunnyside Ave poses a health hazard and a safety hazard to the neighboring residents. The yard has been allowed to grow exponentially and encroach on all the neighboring properties. The yard from 3523 is so overgrown it no longer drains and is now full of standing water. We can no longer use our yard (3521) without being attacked by mosquitoes at any time of the day. Particularly strange since my yard is 100% concrete. We have also had several incidents where we've found ticks on ourselves after being in our yard. With Lyme Disease and West Nile Virus being such a concern, do you think I could contact the Health Department since L & I has proven to be yet another dead end?

The trees inn the back of 3523 are well over 50 feet tall and rotted. I have a skylight in my kitchen in an odd location. The previous owners disclosed that they installed the skylight only after one of the trees from the back yard of 3523 rotted and fell through the kitchen roof. If one of these giant trees falls, it will likely damage or destroy several of the neighboring properties. You can easily see the magnitude of this problem by viewing an aerial image of 3523 from Google earth or Bing, I live in constant fear that one of these giant dying trees will fall on my house; or, his house will set the forest behind his home on fire since the kitchens are located in the rear of our homes and the overgrowth is growing right up into the exterior of his kitchen wall, and has now overtaken the roof as well.

    HELP PLEASE

  • Corner Of Conrad And Sunnyside Streets Philadelphia, PA - East Falls
The construction dumpster has been overflowing for 9 months without any attempts to be emptied. It is an eyesore to have garbage overflowing.
  • Falls Brg Philadelphia, PA - East Falls
Drivers routinely ignore "do not turn on red" sign and turn right onto the bridge with a red arrow light on jeopardizing pedestrians and bicyclists who are trying to cross the intersection at Kelly Drive and the bridge. Occasionally a police officer may be standing nearby and no driver is ever stopped for this traffic violation.
  • Bala Cynwyd PA, USA - East Falls
Coming off the ramp from the Schuylkill towards Kelly Drive/Ridge Ave the pavement is chopped up with no way of getting around the potholes having to merge with oncoming traffic from City Ave
  • Cresson And Indian Queen Streets Philadelphia, PA - East Falls
The apartment building on the corner of Cresson and Indian Queen Streets does not have adequate trash cans for its residents' trash. Therefore, the trash is scattered across the sidewalk making it difficult, and disgusting to walk by. The trash then spreads down the streets and sidewalks. The complex needs to get a dumpster. The complex also needs to have a manager or someone clean up the scattered trash.
  • Philadelphia, PA - East Falls
joint on offramp always has a series of potholes and needs to be addressed
  • 3628 Calumet Street Philadelphia, Pennsylvania - East Falls
The Calumet St. Bridge is one way coming up from Ridge. People constantly ignore the DO NOT ENTER signs and cross the bridge illegally. Sometimes they make a mad dash down Calumet like driving fast makes it OK. Sometimes they turn down Skidoo St. unaware or indifferent to pedestrians ready to step off the bridge. Half the time those ignorant people are on the phone and not paying any attention. The police haven't ticketed anyone that I have seen in months. Are they going to wait until someone is hit? The close calls happen on a regular basis and are very scary. Since the police don't enforce the DO NOT ENTER signs, maybe the walls can be cut down to make pedestrians visible.
  • 3620 Midvale Ave. Philadelphia, PA - East Falls
There is a 15' stone wall on the Thomas Mifflin School property that is close to where hundreds of commuters walk daily to catch the train. Tree roots have lodged the large stones loose and the wall is bulging. It could fall and kill people walking on the sidewalk. This is the responsibility of the School District of Philadelphia. It is in the City's District 4.
  • 4436 Ridge Avenue Philadelphia, PA - East Falls
This property is illegally occupied by five students. The Phila Code allows no more than three unrelated persons, In addition, dollars to donuts, the lease do not comply with the Educational Housing Ordinance. Owners address does not show on the BRT records but theirs names are: Chelsea and James O'Brien. Licenses and Inspections should deal with this. Help please, Councilman Jones. Make the landlords comply with the law and make sure they have a rental license too.
  • 3711 Calumet St. Philadelphia, PA - East Falls
The owner at 3711 Calumet St. keeps many illegal farms animals on the vacant lot he owns which is adjacent to his house and occupies lots 3707-09. At the very least there are 2 roosters, 4 chickens and 4 large ducks, but I suspect more. The roosters crow incessantly throughout the day and night and it's a major nuisance on an otherwise quiet street. I've contacted ACCT Philly many times to no avail.
  • Midvale At Henry - East Falls
7:25 AM SEPTA bus idling at curbside. I believe the bus # was 5762 (but I did not jot the number down today). SEPTA idling at this location is a recurrent issue. This suggests that SEPTA is either unable or unwilling to enforce rules upon their drivers. It would be helpful to know if any other authorities have taken steps to enfore anti-idling rules. The recommendation has been made to call Air Management, but their phone goes to voicemail when I have tried calling in the early AM.
