951 N. Indian Creek Drive Clarkston, GA - Clarkston
Need assistance to get DeKalb County to repair fence & secure gate behind Clarkston Library on Indian Creek Drive. Vandals are coming through the gate & fence and entering the Clarkston Community Center….destroying vegetable gardens and other projects made by the local residents. This past week vandals destroyed a patch of carrots grown by some children!!
The Center locks all gate access to the field during the evenings, weekends & holidays, however, until this fence is secured, the problem will persist. The Clarkston Chief of Police highly recommends “razor wire” in this area to prevent future destruction of the fence.
If the department responsible for county property would like to meet with me to review and discuss, my email is sarawlins@bellsouth.net . Prompt attention to this matter would be greatly appreciated before the gardeners begin planting in early March.
PS: once the fences are repaired, the community residents will place warning signs on the gate & fence to discourage entrance.

Traffic signal malfunctioning ArchivedSarr Pkwy Tucker, GA - TuckerThe timing of the traffic signal at the intersection of Sarr Parkway and Idlewood Road appears to need adjusting during the afternoon rush hour. There's always a backup on Idlewood Road southbound during this time due to short-cycling. I've also noticed that the signal appears to be red in both directions for an unusually long time which adds to the problem.

bicycle hazard Archived3705 Church St GA 30021 +/- I-285 EXIT ramp stop sign - Clarkstonboth Exit & entrance off Church st./Path Foundation path (Decatur to Stone Mt.) onto/off I-285 needs "share the road" signage of some sort.
North-bound esp. Cars/trucks doing highway driving exiting sometimes have difficulty "seeing" slow moving cyclists at the stop sign. SHARE the ROAD near STOP sign at exit ramp may(or may not) help! -
Sarr Parkway And Idlewood Road Tucker DeKalb, GA - TuckerTraffic light is tripped by any car on Sarr Parkway approaching Idlewood, causing traffic on Idlewood to back up to Fellowship Road going south-bound in the evenings from 4:30 p.m. to approximately 5:50 p.m. No back-up occurs on Sarr Parkway. Additionally, light will frequently remain red for all traffic for up to 30 seconds at a time, making back-up worse.

This AT&T/Bellsouth service box was hit by a car at least a year ago. It's remained wide open ever since, with phone service wires exposed. The box itself is damaged and leaning, and someone has already "tagged" it. It is unsightly and provides a calling card for the wrong element.
It took 30 minutes but I finally got a number for AT&T, and opened a ticket to have this fixed. The ticket number is NG079P77. AT&T said it would be fixed tomorrow (August 27) between 8am and 6pm.
To follow up on this issue, or to add your voice to the sound of the crowd - call AT&T Service Center at 877-737-2478. That is not their sales/customer line.. it's a line specifically for repairs.

horrible road Open884 Lagoon Court Stone Mountain, GA - DeKalb CountyThe entire road of Lagoon Court is covered with repaired potholes, potholes, cracks, loose pavement, dust, and gravel pieces. The county has painted/lined the street several times to do repair work but it never gets done. They have done spotty repairs but the entire road needs resurfacing. Kids playing in the culdesacs risk slipping on all the loose rocks. They cant rollerskate or skateboard or ride scooters. Walking without shoes in the culdesacs is torture to even walk one step.
It took the county 3 years to resurface one of our neighborhood streets(Belleglade Drive) after several patches only to resurface the entire street a week after repairs.
