West Spring St. Smyrna , GA - SmyrnaSmyrna's Market Village is a very nice and busy area with alot of foot traffic, however the crosswalks are not properly marked nor are the one way streets causing people to go the wrong way. The attached photo is directly in front of City Hall. However, there are at least three others on West Spring Street that's aren't properly marked. They have city signs warning people about pedestrians, but not legal traffic signs like in the REAR PARKING LOT of City Hall. Police say it's a real problem and hard to enforce since there aren't legal street signs posted.

Park Facilities & Grounds Archived1666 Spring St Se Smyrna GA 30080, United States - SmyrnaThis area (the corner of Spring Street Jonquil Drive) and was identified as a potential site to build "The Quad" as a community gathering space with retail/restaurants. I haven't been able to find any updates about it since 2021, just curious is this is still happening?
I would love to see this corner revitalized as it currently is more than underutilized.
Also, there is no sidewalk here currently making it dangerous for pedestrians who frequently walk down this street to Rev Coffee and other businesses in the area.
Would love any update you can, thanks! -
Street Light Out Archived2431 S Cobb Dr Se Smyrna, GA, 30080, USA - SmyrnaStreet light on the northbound side of S Cobb Drive between Smyrna Animal Hospital and Taco Veloz is malfunctioning and flashing rapidly at night. I submitted a ticket to Cobb County thinking they owned the streetlights along a county road, but they said closed my request and advised me to contact the City of Smyrna.

Street Light Out ArchivedDavenport St Se Smyrna, Georgia, 30080 - SmyrnaI am the home owner at 2666 Davenport Street SE. The end of this street is incredibly dark and pitch black at night. I feel unsafe at my home as there is an issue with loitering, drug dealing and dumping on my street. I constantly have to call police or get in touch with code enforcement. I would really appreciate a crew come out and @#$% the lack of public street lights at the end of this street. Having lights illuminating would likely help the loitering situation. Please get in touch with me regarding. I can be reached at 404-435-1331

Street or Traffic Sign Problem Archived1099 Berkley Dr Se Smyrna, Georgia, 30082 - SmyrnaPlease place a no parking sign at this location to prevent the commercial vehicles from being stored in our neighborhood. Dreamworks, 770-443-0911, stories their trucks and trailers in the street illegally. This causes traffic issues and blocks half of the entrance to our neighborhood.

Village Green Cir Se Smyrna, GA, 30080, USA - Smyrna
This ticket is to express my concern regarding the recent construction of the new road in the downtown area. While I appreciate the efforts to improve the village green, and they look great, I've noticed a safety issue that needs to be addressed.
This is the lack of clear demarcation between the sidewalk and the road as the road runs in between the playground and the Village Green area. This ambiguity poses a serious risk to pedestrians, particularly children who frequently run and ride scooters or bikes in the area. It is imperative that both drivers and pedestrians can easily distinguish between the road and the sidewalk to prevent accidents and ensure the safety of everyone using the area.
To address this issue, please consider implementing measures to clearly delineate the boundaries between the sidewalk and the road. Speed humps, strategically placed stop signs, and visible road striping are just a few suggestions that could help improve safety in the area. Additionally, signage alerting drivers to the presence of children playing nearby would also be beneficial.
Thank you for all you do to continue to improve Smyrna and make this a great place to live and play!
