  • 1774-1798 W Overton Rd Tucson, AZ, 85704, USA - Oro Valley
Overton along the tight curve has VERY BAD expansion cracks. A pickup truck going at the posted speed fishtailed in front of me because it was jumping around the curve due to the roughness. This whole section needs to be milled flat and get a 2" layer of new asphalt. Either that or the road-underlayment needs to be re-done without clay and sand. Something is causing the road to buckle every season. (either ground moisture and heaving, or temperature cycles)

Constituent reports cracks in the road of Overton Rd between the Canada Del Oro Wash and Rancho Feliz Dr. They state the pavement is also heaving at the cracks, and it makes it very difficult to drive the speed limit, and will likely get worse with the recent increased traffic.

N La Cholla Blvd & W Moore Rd Tucson, AZ, 85755, USA - Oro Valley
Constituent request paving La Cholla Rd from Lemonwood Rd to Moore Rd. The patching is not enough, the road is bad condition, it needs to be paved.
  • N La Cholla Blvd & W Moore Rd Tucson, AZ, 85755, USA - Oro Valley
There needs to be a light or 4-way stop or turn-about at the intersection of Moore and La Cholla. When you are west bound on Moore as you approach the intersection at La Cholla to take a left-hand turn there is a hill in the road ahead of you that prevents you from seeing oncoming east bound traffic on Moore. You do not see cars until they are over the hill and often traveling far above the posted speed limit, making the left-hand turn very dangerous. I have personally witnessed several near accidents at this intersection and know of many accidents that have occurred at this dangerous intersection over the years. It is a busy intersection during rush hours and it's getting busier with all the development going on in Oro Valley. We need a light here or 4-way stop or round-about. We need something making the intersection a safe one where people slow down.

  • W Moore Rd & N La Cholla Blvd Tucson, AZ, 85755, USA - Oro Valley
The speed limit on the stretch of Moore Road from La Canada to Thornydale needs to be decreased from 45 to 35. From La Canada to Rancho Vistoso the speed Limit is already 35 and that is a much wider and safer stretch of road, whereas from La Canada to Thornydale to road is narrow and uneven and often has potholes. The speed limit needs to be consistent at 35 mph for the entire stretch of road. People often speed much above the speed limit of 45 and they pass on the double yellow line. I drive this road daily, several times a day out of necessity, and I am aware of what changes need to be made to make it safe. The speed limit needs to be 35mph and police need to patrol this stretch of road during rush hour time, especially 7:45am to 8:15am. Speed-limit laws and no passing on double yellow line laws must be enforced on this stretch of road.
