The area surrounding the main artery to the beach including Coe Ave. & Hemmingway

Notified About

  • Gerrish Ave East Haven, Connecticut - East Haven
Constant speeding up and down Gerrish with little regard to the stop sign at the corner of Tyler and Gerrish
  • 527-537 Coe Avenue East Haven, Connecticut - East Haven

This is the MAIN ARTERY to the beach!! Its the street people, families, and runners take to get down towards the beach! There's a LOT of space to build a sidewalk, there's even a padded down path because so many people walk that route, yet for the 6 years that I have been in East Haven I have seen nothing done.

I drive down this road every night and regularly see people walking on the side of the road in the dark, usually teenagers. It would not take much for a driver to accidentally hit them, especially in the areas where the side of the road is basically non existent!

WE NEED A SIDEWALK ON THIS ROAD THAT GOES ALL THE WAY DOWN TO THE BEACH!!!!

Adding a sidewalk here will not only make pedestrians safer, but it will encourage more people to walk to the beach instead of taking their car, which can help with the massive parking issue down there.

  • 45 George Street East Haven, CT 06512 - East Haven
This home has been burned and boarded up for at least four years. In that time nothing has been done to improve the home or demolish the property.
  • Charter Oak Before One Way Street - East Haven
Everyday on several occasions a young boy is constantly flying down Charter Oak in a 99-2001 White Volkswagen Jetta. Speeds are in the 50-60mph range. Disregards pedestrians, other cars. POLICE TAKE NOTICE: Tonight at approximately 8:30-9pm two flybys with complete disregard for stop sign and speed limit. 50mph with increasing speed after the sign and up the hill towards the airport.
  • Charter Oak Ave Past James - East Haven
Looks almost like a Pit or some type of mut. It roams the street and sidewalks making messes in people's lawns. I have frequently scared it off but I hope he gets hit by a car one day. Animal Control take notice. Dog gets out from fence and roams.
  • 175 Hemingway Ave - East Haven
children have a hard time crossing the street to catch school bus because of speeding cars and no crossing guard
  • 332-348 Hemingway Ave East Haven, CT 06512, USA - East Haven
The center of town would look so much prettier if the weeds in the median were maintained. Truly think it would be a smaller scale effort with much return.
  • Charter Oak And James Intersection. - East Haven
Stop sign at this intersection is INCREDIBLY ignored. To the point people speed up to go through it. Particularly a white early 2000's VW Jetta and a black early 2000's Dodge Durango. Needs Police enforcement!
  • 1-33 Chidsey Ave East Haven, CT 06512, USA - East Haven
There is a big, white van right at the end of Chidsey Ave. where it meets Prospect. If you are coming down the street, you can't see the stop sign. It's been there and they won't move it
  • Main St East Haven, CT - East Haven
Downtown East Haven, on Main St, where the library is, cars are speeding (one SUV must have been going 50 mph), and there is a clearly marked sign at a crosswalk to STOP for pedestrians - after 6 cars didn't even slow down, I finally had to step out into traffic a little to scare a driver - this was 4pm yesterday - good place for East Haven officers to hand out some tickets
  • Burr Street/Dodge Avenue New Haven, CT - East Haven
The two new speedbumps need to be painted. Despite signage pointing to the bumps, they are barely visible until drivers are upon them. This is a danger to the drivers and their cars. It's great that this traffic-calming measure is in place, but PLEASE PAINT THE BUMPS. Thanks.
  • Dodge Avenue/Hemingway Avenue East Haven, CT - East Haven
PLEASE demolish the charred remains of the home that burned here several months ago, killing one person. The building is an eyesore, a sad reminder of a fatality and a definite liability.
