  • 3365 Buford Hwy Ne Atlanta, Georgia - Brookhaven

The nearby nightclub, Atlanta Peach Ballroom, located at 3365 Buford Hwy Ne in the Northeast Plaza is a frequent bother to the residents of my neighborhood. I am personally impacted by the loud music and thumping bass that resonates from the back of the club directly into my house located on Trailview Way in The Lenox Overlook Development. This music is so loud that I can hear the words to the songs and the bass of the music penetrates my walls so that I am unable to sleep. This happens typically 2-3 times per week, often on Sat, Sun and Mondays and goes often until after 4am each night. I struggle to sleep with this constant noise disruption and I know my neighbors are bothered by it also. I have repeatedly called the police for assistance and the music continues to play. The back of club faces Briarwood and I believe the majority of the music comes through a metal garage door at the back of the club. I have not been in the club but based on the noise that is heard outside the club at the back of the building by that door it sounds as if there is not sound-proofing.

I need assistance from Code Compliance or the City of Brookhaven on how to addres this issue that is impacting the quality of my life and my neighbors. Thanks!

The first issue is the yellow fire hydrant by the street corner. It must have a really bad leak because it never stops leaking. Hopefully it still is functioning correctly. The next issue is all the broken glass spread about the park on the side by the fire hydrant. I went out there and picked up literally about 100 pieces of broken glass. That was maybe 10% of it. On the opposite end, but same section, in the stream where it starts are several pieces of long metal bar type things in the water. Weed wacking obviously never gets done there because it looks like they're almost trees themselves now. They just mowed it a few days ago, but they don't weed wack anymore. It makes the park look unkempt and trashy. I think that the [part by the bench with that big stone block is a potential safety hazard to pets and kids. There should be some type of a guard rail right there. That telephone pole that fell down a few years ago is still there. Luckily during all that flooding it was used as a great deterrent from the water flow. The baseball field is hardly even recognizable as being one. It needs a new basketball net and another basketball goal on the other end would be cool too. Anyways, back to the weed wacking. That, as well, is also a potential safety hazard for kids and pets too. Anything could be hiding in there and not be seen and then possibly injure a kid or pet. Please get rid of all these weeds and keep it maintained as well too. Where are our tax dollars going?
    I appreciate it. Thanks!

This house has been obviously abandoned for at least 7 years, is unmaintained, and attracts derelicts and criminal activity.

The sidewalk is missing a section near a new recently installed power pole. A large red muddy dirt area occupies the space where the sidewalk section once existed. It is a hazard which forces people to walk in the road and in traffic. The sidewalk needs to be repaired ASAP as it gets very heavy traffic to/from Kittredge Magnet School. Kids and parents walk in the street to avoid this hazardous section. Please repair ASAP. Thank you.
