Henry County District 5

This issue has been suggested several times. Please remind me -- and others who use this app -- what is needed to get speed bumps installed in our neighborhood. There have been several accidents recently -- possibly due to the construction on I-75 which will continue for a while -- this causes traffic north and southbound to take back roads. At least twice in the last week to 10 days, I have had to wait for at least 6-8 cars to "fly" past my driveway before I can pull out. We have many more children and elderly in the neighborhood, in addition to many dog walkers. These cars cutting through the neighborhood DO NOT abide by the 25 mph speed limit. Even many of our own neighbors DO NOT abide by the 25 mph speed limit. Also, at any given time, any day, Henry County could write numerous speeding tickets on Northbridge Drive alone. I look forward to hearing from you to learn what is needed to get this project moving along. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I have noticed that there are many street lights out in the city. Many just on N Henry alone East of Lee Street. I know you rely on reports from citizens. But 1. Shouldn't there be some one assigned to that duty, say once a month ride the city streets at night and make the necessary reports to Georgia Power. #2. Who is paying for these lights while they are non functioning?

MAY NOT BE CORRECT ADDRESS! I'm not sure it it's 235 or 233 (somewhere along there) the homeowner has apparently moved and trash / refuse has been piled at the street for going on two weeks. What does it take to get the trash hauled away? It is very unsightly and likely drawing rats and other critters. Thanks.

Not quite sure how excessive speeding, cut thrus and running stop signs have been resolved. No police presence in our neighborhood. I watch every night. What does it take to stop this? An unnecessary death of a child? I counted 25 speeders, 15 stop sign violations and 50 plus cut through violations. We need petitions? How about a traffic cop. Mega bucks for the county in fines. Don't close this issue until you fix it.

roads need repaving on Solomon drive and Saul drive and st james place real bad their is red mud coming from underneath pavement when it rains because of all the cracks in the roads plus their are potholes forming around the speed humps and on king janes drive at the speed hump the roadway is uneven its been ove 20 years that how long the S/d has been here and it has never been paved. on the Clayton county end they have paved theirs over 3 times and is getting ready to pave again in the coming weeks

Another banner sign over 4 ft.² needs a county permit?

The property next to my office (Buchanan Chiropractic Clinic< PC 5124 N. Henry Blvd) looks like they are just dumping their trash in to the brush beside the dumpster, which is behind their building. It has accumulated a great deal and after I had the kudzu cut on the vacant lot beside the office it is extremely visible. It would be nice to have them clean it up. Maybe fence around the dumpster would help the trash from blowing over into my property. Stockbridge has always been such a nice community, it is a shame that the folks do not take enough pride to keep it clean

The trash at this home needs to be addressed. These renters have NINE (9) trash cans and leave at least 5-7 of them at the street 24/7. This was brought up about a month ago on this site and supposedly the City contacted the renters. If someone knows who the owner is or how to reach the owner, I would be glad to make the contact with that person. I also think they are running a car repair business and daycare business -- due to traffic in and out of the driveway 24/7. Is that legit? Thank you.

Drivers still blowing the stop sign at Seaboard and Central Line. Watched 3 go thru in a 5 min period last night with out slowing down. How about blinking stop signs like the one I posted? LARGE stop ahead signs? Stop stripes on the pavement at the sign? Make it more visible, or just remove them if no one cares.

Please reopen complaints 5752095 and 5756405--the drainage issue and rubbish/harborage issues have not been addressed. "Too much water" ?? and no action to correct the situation (remove the rubbish and clean out the drainage ditch) is NOT a solution. At a MINIMUM the home owner needs to clean up the ditch, the harborage (branches, trash, leaves, etc) and make sure the ditch is clear including the fence line. Please send out proper county authority to resolve the issue, not just "close" it with no solution. This could not have been properly addressed when NOTHING was donedto correct the flooding/harborage issues.
