We need a crosswalk... Archived241 Perkins St. B701 Jamaica Plain, MA - Jamaica PlainThere is absolutely no access to safe pedestrian crossing between our condominium at 241 Perkins St., Jamaica Plain (Cabot Estate) and Jamaica Pond, which is directly across the street. We are a community of 161 residences and more than 300 people living in a virtual pedestrian island. Yesterday one of our neighbors was hit a seriously injured while crossing the street. We have been trying for decades to hear "yes" from someone with the authority to give us a safe way to cross the street. We have heard lots of folks say "no, because....." but it seems illogical that there is no one who can figure out a way to permit folks in our community to safely cross the street.

Scooter Parking Archived20 City Hall Ave Boston, MA 02201, USA - DowntownPlease consider making this "official" scooter/motorcycle parking. There is plenty of egress for pedestrians. A lot of people already park in this area, but I've had $120 in parking tickets here this summer so I've stopped. It's a perfectly reasonable area for embracing these environmentally responsible commuter vehicles.

Excessive Trash Archived88-90 B St Boston, MA 02127, USA - South BostonThe upper half of B. Street (heading towards W. Broadway) is constantly dirty. For the life of me I can't figure out why the dumpsters in the housing developments aren't enclosed so that the homeless and others can't rifle through them and leave trash everywhere. As of late it only seems to have gotten worse. Can't these be enclosed?

Ineffective Traffic Lights ArchivedCambridge St./Harvard Ave. Boston MA 02134, USA - Allston-BrightonThese traffic lights are disregarded by motorists at all hours of the day. MBTA Route 66 busses do not stop at this red light at all. The left arrow directing traffic on to Harvard Ave. is entirely useless, since people will turn left during any light circumstance. A police patrol is needed at this intersection at all times until a better solution can be found.

241 Perkins Street - Jamaica PlainCabot Estate Condominiums are home to over 300 people
who cross the 30 feet from the entrance of the complex across Perkins Street to Jamaica Pond. The crossing is hazardous because of the blind curve coming west, the recklessness of some drivers and the lack of a crosswalk and signage. On 9/10/2010 my S.O. was crossing with her dog, as she does 4 times each day, when she was struck by a distracted driver and sent to the ICU with 8 broken bones and a subdural hematoma. If she were not light and in excellent physical condition, she would have been the fatality which would get attention. -

65 N Harvard St Boston, MA 02134, USA - Allston-BrightonEvery morning at about 9:10am, and possibly again throughout the day, a UPS Delivery Van parks in front of the Harvard Stadium Murr Center Gate and completely blocks the bike lane for an extended period of time. This is an EXTREMELY dangerous causeway, with large trucks routinely traveling at over 30mph. This area also has a high volume of cyclists throughout the day. The UPS driver has no reason to use this spot, as there is an access gate only 500 feet further southwest that would allow him access to the buildings on this compound. Negligence and laziness on the part of the UPS company and the Harvard Parking Authority could lead to severe consequences for some innocent commuters.

79 N Harvard St Boston, MA 02134, USA - Allston-BrightonAt the soldiers field rd off-ramp onto N Harvard St/JFK st, the traffic light placements are misleading. Each day during rush hour cars unfamiliar with the intersection are stopping in the middle of the bridge. Other lanes of traffic with a green light are circling around them, driving on the wrong side of the road and it is most dangerous for the frequent foot-traffic and blindspots coming from the other on/off ramps. If the light is intended to stop traffic in the middle of the bridge, then the timing of the other street lights are wrong because inevitably there are always cars sitting on the middle of the bridge while other rows of traffic are stuck trying to navigate around them. Please move the lights or re-time things to work properly. There is a large accident waiting to happen here.

Need a turn signal! ArchivedIntersection Of Market Street And Washington Street In Brighton 02135 - Allston-BrightonThere should be a turn signal at the intersection of Market Street and Washington Street. Traffic is backed up on both streets with people waiting to turn. Plus, it's a safety hazard as people wait until after the light turns red to turn, or jumps the light and turns before the light turns green.
