    Took my little baby girl to the park for a nice stroll next to the hanover pond but thats filthy with garbage lining it and bouncing in the water. Avoiding bird, dog and possibly human mines we made our way to the play area only to find hypodermic needles under the jungle gym. I mean c'mon you must be kidding me, now families living in Meriden are restricted to their backyards if they want to relax and enjoy a good day, god forbid you venture into any city park.
    Either take care of the parks, or just completely neglect them and save taxpayer grief and money.

    The past few days there has been a strong order coming from our water. I now see in the paper that there was a water issue on Dana Lane in Meriden, Ct. as well.

    For several days to a few weeks at a time our city supplied tap water will all of a sudden have the taste and smell of rotten vegetation. The condition of the water is at times so extreme that filtration systems will not remove the taste and smell. We have complained to the Water Dept. They have pointed to algae blooms as the cause, however we doubt the validity of this, as this problem has returned even now in November. We have started to doubt that our tap water is actually potable and may be contaminated in some way.

    huge pot hole as well as many other horrible bumps and cracks in road that will become pot holes.. THE WHOLE ROAD IS ALMOST INPASSABLE. YOU HAVE TO GO EXTREMELY SLOW TO NOT POP A TIRE. ITS ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!!

    I travel down New Hanover Ave's hill toward Main Street South Meriden almost on a daily basis. I stop at all stop signs however I have almost been rear ended or because others in back of me near rear end me they swerve into the oncoming traffic lane to avoid rear ending because they themselves do not stop at the stop sign. In fact, all the times I have been in back of others, never have I witnessed anyone stopping at that stop sign going around the bend. Need camera to evidence rear end accidents when potentially in a "hit and run" rear ended accident

    Two-foot high grass and weeds, tree limbs down, trash everywhere on the property ... this is disgusting. With the building being the first thing anyone sees from the highway exit, the Community Economic Development Fund (CEDF) and the City should be ashamed.

    We on Rosemary Terr have the same problem as reported on Dana Lane. The water has a foul odor and the taste is terrible. We normally get this taste and odor when the water table is low but this time the odor is stronger and the taste is not pleasant.
