Notified About

  • 2201-3699 South 2290 West WEST VALLEY CITY, UT - West Valley City
For the past two years this property has dealt with 2 car accidents damaging the property and fencing, one fire and constant dust and noise coming from the construction site on I-215 North and South Bound. Many tenants have put in complaints because of the dirt from construction going into the units as well as the shaking of the buildings while construction is going on through out the night. They understand road work is necessary, but constantly having to hear the construction and always inhaling the dust from them, tenants no longer feel comfortable. There is traffic 24/7, so the honking, screeching brakes from motorist and car accidents disturbs human activity and the quality of life for the residents. Some residents try to keep there windows shut throughout the day and can still hear the cars ride over every pot hole and bump on the freeway making it sound as someone is running over a dog. With the playground in the back of the property, residents do not feel that it is safe enough for their children to play, do to the 2 previous car accidents going into the play areas. Tenants do not want to spend their weekends in our barbecue and play areas because of the noise from the construction and the danger of the freeway being so close.

Lincoln Highway & Foothill Drive & Interstate 80 Utah - Salt Lake County
The exit lane onto I80 from Foothill has so many potholes that they can't be missed. Especially just as you turn left onto the I80 onramp. Please fix ASAP. I'd be surprised if people haven't reported damage to tires and wheels/rims.
    Thanks

3600 South Orion Circle leasing office, west valley, Utah - West Valley City
I wish I could post more than just one photo of the amount of trash that is against our gates from the freeway. It hasnt been maintained or clean at all. We have had trash fly over the fence over to our soccer field, the kids on the property have cleaned it up if it comes over to our side, but that isn't enough. There is a sign that was on the freeway that is now on the ground where the fence is, also tires, foam tops, blankets, and trash bags hanging in the trees and bushes. Its not attractive and disgusting. It has brought rats onto our property that we are continuously trying to rid of. Again this is another issue that we have tried to sort out but have not gotten anywhere with.

Being a resident and apart of management of Valley Park Apartments, we have had ONGOING issues with 215 interstate; with trash, fires, debris, cars pulling off to the shoulder jumping our fences and stealing tires and now trucks/cars running off the road when weather is bad. Two years ago the state installed about a 5 foot wall that ended BEFORE the property started. We need a sound barrier, that is the only thing that will keep our property safe. The picture posted with this is from today, (02/06/2019) A family was playing in the snow in the back of our property where our soccer field is and was luckily a safe distance away from this truck running off the freeway into our fence. This is not including the numerous times of fires destroying our property and debris (which is still there) landing on our property and thieves jumping our fences to steal our residents personal property. This is more of an issue of damages from the freeway and the lack of safety concern from the state. This area on our property is recreational use for our residents and they do not feel safe.

    I-215 N. Onramp From 6200 S. Holladay, Utah - Holladay

I live in Holladay and frequently enter the onramp from Big Cottonwood Rd (6200 S in Holladay) to NB I-215. The signage indicates that the traffic from Wasatch Blvd entering the same onramp should yield to the onramp from 6200 S in Holladay. People entering from Wasatch Blvd are often going very fast (especially during ski season) and frequently don't yield to the other vehicles entering onramp in spite of yield signs. I have seen >30 near-accidents in the past few years (including me and my wife). I believe two flashing yield sign would be appropriate to let the Wasatch lane see that they are to yield to the lower onramp with a blind spot.

I received the following reply from UDOT, but no action has been taken:

"In Numetric (crash history program) this northbound onramp to I-215 from Wasatch Blvd and Big Cottonwood Road shows a crash history of multiple front to rear and sideswipe crashes. I have put in Work Order #2017-18 instructing the Sign Crew to replace the existing outside shoulder "Yield" sign with a flashing "Yield" sign and to also add a "Yield Ahead" sign on each side of the road roughly 300 feet prior to the flashing "Yield" and existing regular "Yield signs. These new signs should cause the traffic that is required to yield to actually yield."

Please make the corrective actions as soon as possible

This appears to be a reoccurring pothole as it looks like it was filled before but noticed this morning that it has gotten really bad. The address is an estimate. It is right when you are leaving Foothill Southbound and getting on I215

The road was torn up to lay a water line for a new house being built. However the repair done to the road left a significant divot across the road. This section of the road causes a large about of noise and vibration when large vehicles drive thru, to the point it wakes me up in the night. I'm also concerned with the long term affects of the older homes foundations in this area if the problem continues.

  • 3100 S 900 E Salt Lake City, UT 84106, USA - Millcreek

All along the Northbound shoulder marking line the pavement is a mess. From 3300S all the way to 2900 or so there are bumps, dips, cracks. In general, this is the worst section of pavement from 4500S all the way to 500S (only the Northbound side). Because there is parking on this street, and it is a single lane in each direction, cyclists are forced to ride in the lane or bounce all over the place.

There have been repairs between 3900 and 3300, but they hit that intersection and called it a day...

    4770 S 900 E Murray, UT, 84117, USA - Murray
Turning onto the Van Winkle Expressway from 4800 S heading east was almost impossible this morning. I was headed to work at around 9:00 AM and needed to make that turn. Not only were cars sliding through the intersection headed south, but the lane which connects with the Van Winkle headed north was not plowed and I barely made it onto the main road, which was also not plowed. Again, this was at 9:00 AM. I was up and going to work. I'm curious why the snow removal employees were up working as well. I am forced to pay taxes for things like snow removal. Clearly, this kind of work is not being performed. Thus, I demand a refund on my taxes that I have been forced to pay toward snow removal. Please contact me to let me know when I can expect a refund on these taxes. Your negligence is shocking. I'm not joking. I would like to be reimbursed for the time I wasted dealing with your problem this morning. My billable rate is $285 am hour. I has 14 minutes late for work, despite leaving home earlier than usual. By my calculation, you owe me $39.90, not to mention the tax revenue I have paid for snow removal which is not being done. I'm absolutely serious about this. If I'm not contacted concerning this issue, I will take the next step.
