    Houses on the bottom and very top of the odd numbered side of the street are desperately in need of repair, paint, and/or demolition. The second, third, and fourth houses from the bottom and the last house at the top of the hill all look to be abandoned for the past few years and are bringing down the property value of the neighborhood. Thinking of telling the homeless about squatting opportunities if something isn't done soon!

    I drive passed this house almost every day on my way to work. On any given day, there are anywhere from 6-10 junk cars in the driveway, yard, and in the street. Some of them are sinking into the ground, others just falling apart. I would guess that only 2-3 of them are actually registered (if that, looking at the # of them without license plates). I can only imagine how this is affecting the value of the houses in this neighborhood and is just an eye sore in general. Aren't there zoning laws to prevent this from happening? Can someone please do something about this? Many West Haven residents are trying to keep West Haven clean, meanwhile there are travesties like this house going unnoticed.

    The Graffiti on the railroad trestle on sawmill rd near railroad ave has been there for a few years and it is an eyesore. I have to look at it everyday coming home from work. It should be removed.

    There are no speed limit signs on the lower half of Dawson Ave near the most dangerous part of the hill. People are constantly traveling at excessive rates of speed both up and down the hill. Can't ticket someone if they don't know what the speed limit is there and/or it's not clearly posted.

    This home has been vacant for at least six years. There is occasional activity as occasionally people come and put stuff in it (in a minivan RIDDLED with Picard stickers) and takes stuff (childrens bikes, etc) out. I'm really not sure what they do there, my best guess is they're using it for storage.

    On trash day there's always bags outside, even though no one lives there. It would appear that the trash is not being generated at this residence and is being brought from other locations. As is clearly evident in the attached picture, the roof is failing and I have personally witnessed wildlife entering the home. The attached photo is from when this home was put on the market some months ago, but pretty much tells the story. I know for a fact that I am not the first to complain about this property.

    It would be safe to conclude that the owner listed as a "Daniel Rocano" on the vision appraisal site is connected to someone at town hall. Each time a complaint is lodged with town hall in reference to the state of this property, a short time later Daniel/etc show up to do some basic maintenance (lawn mowing/etc) without ever having addressed the real problem. The house is failing, and needs to be examined by building inspectors.

    It is certainly pulling down the values of our homes and provides a very real health hazard to the surrounding homes.

    I am looking into other ways to get some action on this, but figured I would start here.

    If anyone from West Haven Town Hall reads this, please. Please. Do something. We have a great neighborhood. And a lot of wonderful neighbors. Daniel and his dilapidated home are not in standing with the neighborhood, and his lack of consideration has created a potential health hazard for anyone who lives around him.

    Colonial Blvd, needs to be made one way on each side. There is not enough room on each side of the street for two way traffic. One side of the street is notoriously busier than the other, that is not fair we all pay the same taxes. I have attached an image of how the one way traffic flow should work on the street. If the police department is not competent enough to see that there is an issue here and make a necessary change, perhaps a signed petition by residents and a formal complaint to he CT. DOT would be in order. In addition,since the weather has gotten nicer there has been an increase in motorcycle traffic and speeders on the street as well. In addition, between 6:45 am and 7:15 during the week a school bus is always speeding southbound down the street. In regards to the blight, it would be much appreciated if the city could spend a little money to clean up the creek and the grounds in the middle of the street, and possibly plant some trees or grass.

    Who owns this property? I believe they only live in CT. part of the year. They need to be forced to hire a property management company to care for their property when they are not here. The house is a dump and the yard is even worse. I don't need to walk by and look at this trashy scene in my neighborhood! CLEAN IT UP!

    Dog will not stop barking at 26 Colonial Boulevard. The minute the dog is put outside it starts barking and does not stop... ever. This Saturday the dog barked for 3 solid hours. Last Saturday it was 7 hours. It is not normal for dogs to bark in this manner and is cruel to allow it to continue for both the dog and your neighbors!!!!

    Every Thurs. ,Fri, Sat & some Sundays the "two dollar holla" girls arrive screaming,swearing & DRUNK @ closing time. Extremely crude & littering @ this rental of UNH boys .Nonstop car door slamming also a treat @ 2 AM.
    The white homie w/the white car cranks up the volume for all to hear!
    I hope they are not studying law enforcement! This house is owned by the slumlord who also rented her other house 28 to section 8 crack dealers .
    It's going to be worse.These guys are moving in June and football players are moving in.WHPDV will be called nightly!

    Instead of using the public sewer system, this particular house drains their shower water through a pipe onto the sidewalk and street daily between 6:30-8:00am. Sudsy, soapy water is not safe for children to play in or animals to accidentally drink. This is a health hazard, but the city building department does nothing- when we've reported this, we were told the women who live there claim it is a pipe from a sump pump. Well, none of the other sump pumps on the hill have run for over a week (it hasn't rained for 9 days!) and when they do run, it is not with scented bubbling water at the same time we happen to shower, it is after (or during a storm)- the women in this house have no respect for the environment or people around them.

    Road surface is uneven. Potholes partially filled recently. Other areas of the roads have large cracks and excessive sand and debris from plowing over the winter.

    The stop line is drawn too far back at the end of Chase Lane to be able to see around the fence on the home on the left hand side (across from the school); drivers have to pull up onto the cross walk in order to see down Jones Hill Road (to the left).
