Notified About

  • 1274-1294 Ella T Grasso Blvd New Haven, Connecticut - Edgewood
The splashpad at Edgewood has not worked all summer. This is unacceptable considering the intense heat and humidity we have been experiencing since late July.
  • 1197 Forest Rd New Haven, CT 06515 - Westville
This is a dangerous intersection. An accident a few months ago resulted in a death. At least a four-way stop or light is needed.
  • Chapel Street And Ella Grasso Boulevard New Haven, CT - Edgewood
This intersection has significant pedestrian traffic, especially children entering the park, in warmer weather months. It currently has no pedestrian crossing signal, and is a hazardous space for people to cross, given the high volume of traffic, and narrowing of the road into one lane just prior to the intersection (coming north on the Boulevard). Now is the time to address this, before kids start taking the risk to cross to and from the park this spring and summer.
  • 201 Derby Avenue West Haven, Connecticut - Westville
There is supposed to be PUBLIC ACCESS along the West River between Derby Avenue and Chapel Street. Yale and/or the CT Tennis Foundation has locked the gates on Chapel Street and Derby Avenue and illegally restricted access.
  • Chapel And Norton New Haven, CT - Edgewood
I hope someone is investigating this blatant display of open drug dealing at this intersection. Traffic actually backs up on Friday Nights with so many "customers". I have had to drive home via a different route for fear of a deal gone bad and the ensuing violence. I know it takes time to build a case against these hoodlums, but this is out of control.
  • Vista Terrace New Haven, CT - Westville
The much needed speed bumps on the Vista Terrace cut-through were a welcome sight, but I didn't notice them at first. There are signs on the side of the road, but I think the speed bumps should be painted yellow to make them more visible. The bottom of my car is angry.
  • 1246 Forest Road New Haven, Connecticut - Westville

There is a 10 ft tall, 40 foot long hedge infested with poison ivy, here. The hedge is not kept trimmed, so at this point is is making the sidewalk impassible and is a serious health and safety issue. This is a high traffic sidewalk for the local Jewish Community, who walk to temple.

Trying to reopen this. The Poison Ivy is worse than ever. The property owner is unwilling to do anything.

  • 89 99 Ellsworth Ave New Haven, CT - Edgewood
Pike International bought the building at the northeast corner of Chapel Street and Ellsworth Avenue last year, and, while they put a lot of work into it, they really need to take one more step and redo this sidewalk. It's badly broken and a hazard to walk over. Pike's a big company, and it certainly can afford to repair about 100 ft of sidewalk for the safety of its tenants and other residents of the neighborhood.
  • Potholes Archived
2-30 Knollwood Drive New Haven, Connecticut - Westville
The recent paving project left a patch of road, approximately 15 feet long, unpaved, with raised manholes exposed. This road hazard has been present for about three weeks now. When will it be fixed?
  • Potholes Archived
77 Knollwood Drive New Haven, CT - Westville
on the street, near driveway apron, pothole is deteriorating daily. This is across from the Hopkins school driveway, so lots of traffic and they swerve to avoid it, so dangerous.
  • 1123 Ella T Grasso Boulevard New Haven, Connecticut - New Haven - Ward 03
The pedestrian signal to cross 6-lane Ella Grasso Boulevard at this location is 20 seconds, which is more than 4 feet of crossing distance per second. The standard for areas in which children and seniors are present is 3 or maximum 3.5 feet per second of crossing time. This intersection is directly adjacent to Barnard School and is an important access point for West River Memorial Park. The ped signal should be timed to at least 25-30 seconds.
  • 1246-1284 Forest Rd New Haven, CT 06515, USA - Westville
The new timing on the traffic light on Forest Road onto Fountain Street is too short, backing morning traffic up two blocks to West Elm. Something has definitely changed as this intersection, though busy, only recently began backing up this badly.
