The Division of Public Works consists of five (5) operating departments including Roads, Water, Sanitary Sewer, Sanitation/Recycling, and Equipment & Repair. The various departments employ a total of 48 employees including supervisors, foremen, drivers, laborers, equipment operators, sewage treatment plant operators, water facility operators and mechanics.

    pot hole in middle lane going east bound, just before exit 28 at a bridge connecting asphalt road and concrete bridge

    Recently the intersection of Main Street and Park Avenue was reconfigured to make it a sharp, narrow turn rather than a wider, smoother merge. While this may slow down the traffic on Park Avenue, it has caused a dangerous condition since the roadway has been narrowed to a point where two passing cars can barely fit. It is unlikely two larger vehicles would fit. The intersection has to be widened and it would help to take the short sharp curve out of it also.

    Mountain Road (*especially from the beginning@Rt206 to Conklin Rd  intersection*), with it's ENORMOUS potholes literally every couple feet, has been inexcusably neglected for years. 

    The road has become SO treacherous that there is now no feasible way to avoid the countless potholes.  We cannot even swerve around them because they cover BOTH sides of Mountain Road. The street continues to drastically deteriorate each year...and yet, NOTHING GETS DONE to rectify it. 

    The extraordinary lack of attention to properly maintain Mountain Rd is absolutely deplorable, not to mention incredibly dangerous to drivers.   In fact, a multitude of residents (including myself) have experienced car damage resultant from the road's poor condition.

    MOUNTAIN ROAD REQUIRES **IMMEDIATE**:
       = CONTINUOUS & PROPER MAINTENANCE,
       = POTHOLES: PERMANENT REMOVAL/FIX…

  • N Hillside Ave And Main St Succasunna-Kenvil, NJ - Succasunna-Kenvil
    this manhole is at least 5 to 6 inches lower than the roadway. I don't understand how police, town employees or the public has tolerated this dangerous situation.
  • Route 206 And International Drive Budd Lake, NJ - Roxbury
    When turning left into the ITC from 206 there is a big DIP in the pavement at the stopping line where International Drive meets 206. Doesn't that dip annoy anyone that turns left from 206 onto International Drive? It does me cause you can't avoid it like you can a pothole! It has been there a long time! Why hasn't this been fixed yet!?

    The Fenimore landfill being used as a garbage dump is producing a VERY BAD STENCH. This needs to be stopped, closed and covered. Call EPA 1-877-926-6337, and local authorities - ROXBURY NEEDS TO STOP THIS!

    horrible odor from waste water treatment plants (sewer sludge) call local authorities and EPA 1-877-927-6337 24 hrs a day. call every time you smell it!. There is corruption hapening rite under our noses and I for one am tired of it! HEY ROXBURY FIX IT!
