The bike lane that begins by parkway place mall and goes west along drake to the Parkway ends under the parkway. It’s a nice idea to have a lane, but it ends and leaves cyclists in a bad position b/c they haven’t taken a space in the regular driving lane (and motorists don’t yield because just 100 ft ago the cyclist was in their own lane) and there is merging traffic from the south parkway service road turning onto drake in that same area as well. The lane should’ve continued either to Leeman ferry or possibly Brahm springs if budget allows with some signage indicating to motorists & cyclists that it is about to end and that bikes will merge left and cars need to yield.

  • University Dr Nw At Oster Dr Nw Huntsville, Alabama - Huntsville
On the side of University Drive near Oster Drive there is this old Huntsville Utilities utility pole that does not have any lines connected to it and it's under the current power lines. This should have been removed a long time ago, please remove it now. Marked the approximate location of the pole on the map and included current photo. Thanks.
  • 371 Shelton Rd Huntsville, Alabama - Huntsville
Bradford Pear trees are growing into the power lines at 371 Shelton Road, Madison, Al 35758. Bradford Pear trees break easily in windy weather. Huntsville Utilities needs to inspect these trees to make sure they will not damage the power lines.
  • 8817 Hwy 20 W Madison, AL 35758, Huntsville, Alabama - Madison
Please evaluate the safety of this power line pole structure. The top portion is leaning and is splintered halfway through. It is located between the Arbys and Hardee on Highway 20. Thank you.

  • 1364-1412 Bob Wade Ln Nw Huntsville AL, 35810, USA - Huntsville
The S curves on Bob Wade need to be looked at again. Early this morning an accident with a vehicle sliding off the road took out numerous Chevron signs that were recently installed and there is an accident working as we speak with a car hitting the pole there. We appreciate all the work that traffic engineering did in this area recently but additional work or review needs to be done since there have been additional accidents. (Possible suggestions: Speed limit reduction - it is currently 50 through there despite the warning signs of slippery when wet. Possibly grooving of the road surface or reengineering of the road gradient so vehicles don't slide off the road. Moving the utility pole or installing crushable crash barriers around the pole).
