  • No sidewalks Acknowledged
1694-1744 Dhu Varren Road Ann Arbor, Michigan - Ann Arbor
There are no sidewalks on Dhu Varren here, on either side of the road. To get from Foxfire subdivision to Olson park on foot, we have to walk on the grass, or in winter, on the road. For part of the road, near the train tracks, there is a guard rail, and there is no choice but to walk in the road.

They only shovel a path 18" wide, not full width of sidewalk. Extension not shoveled clear to street.

Water from pond flooding onto road, covering almost half of road. The flooding appears to be the result of the construction at the corner of Dhu Varen and Nixon.

Vegetation interfering with walking on sidewalk

This is a lot more serious than a pothole repair. A significant amount of work has been performed in the past 6 months. During this work the catch basin shown in the attached photo has been breached resulting in a 12" diameter hole in the pavement which is at least 24" deep. It has undermined the road and there is the possibility of a vehicle getting damaged seriously if the pavement fails.

Water Hemlock (Cicuta maculata) growing at the indicated spot (west end of Foxfire North park near sidewalk). This is by far the most poisonous native plant in Michigan (WAY more deadly than Poison Hemlock). Its juices contain a neurotoxin that can be absorbed through the skin or mouth or airway and produces seizures in very small doses. A nibble is all it takes; you don't even need to swallow. Spreads by seeds rapidly. It's in flower now, so it would be wise to get it before it sets seed. USE CAUTION WHEN REMOVING THIS PLANT. Read up on this... do NOT send out an untrained crew!
  • 2900-2920 Omlesaad Drive Ann Arbor, Michigan - Ann Arbor
Thank you for repaving Foxfire subdivision! But, the workers have left and the worst section of street in the neighborhood was not resurfaced. I am referring to Omlesaad Dr. between Foxway and Dhu Varren Rd. This is the most heavily traveled section of the neighborhood and the surface of the road here is a mess. Please come back and fix it!
  • Hickory Point Dr Ann Arbor, MI, 48105, USA - Ann Arbor
Grass along the sidewalk in Foxfire North Park is too too long (over 18"). It is time to cut it. In addition since last year, only part of the lawn in the park is mowed. The rest is left to grow over 18". The overgrow grass brings a lot of health concerns. Please mow the park regularly.

City recently cut lawn here. They clearly missed all the center brush. They also left a mess all over the sidewalk. Are you following up on the work of your landscaping contractors? This sloppiness needs to be corrected.
