    There are two connecting alleys that need repair. One runs between the 1300 block of Independence SE and the 1300 block of Massachusetts SE. The other runs behind the houses on the 1300 block of these streets. Both alleys have a mixture of brick and concrete, with uneven surfaces and grass growing in various places. Rather than a piecemeal repair, I would like to see both alleys completely resurfaced as part of one of the alley paloozas.

    Work was done by Pepco on utilities for new condos on our street over a month ago and the sidewalk still has not been repaired. This is not acceptable.

    Cars turning right from 11th on to South Carolina do so at high speeds and often without checking for pedestrians. These cars often clip the beginning of the parking zone on the block.

    This problem is apparent 7 days a week.

    I believe a bump out or some other traffic calming measure would be helpful.

    I have never seen so many rats in 12 years of living at this address as I did this morning! All over the alley and burrowing under the porch/patio areas of 918 & 916 14th Street SE.
