    Numerous rats have been observed in several back yards abutting the new constitution on both 17th and D Sts properties. In both cases, the construction feeds into the alley.

    Cars turning right from 11th on to South Carolina do so at high speeds and often without checking for pedestrians. These cars often clip the beginning of the parking zone on the block.

    This problem is apparent 7 days a week.

    I believe a bump out or some other traffic calming measure would be helpful.

    There is a generator that has been running for two solid weeks spewing diesel fumes into the neighborhood and it’s loud. 24 hours a day and runs.Clearly burning gas seems a better idea then getting something fixed. It is completely unattended at the boys and girls club the abandoned boys and girls club that is.

    There was yet another traffic accident with injury at the intersection where live. 16th and potomac se. The crosswalks are at an angle and don't have striped lines, so they are hard to see. Drivers routinely don't stop at the stop sign. I watched from my window today as a driver failed to stop at the stop sign and hit a truck and fedex driver. My kids live here and it is so dangerous. We need a pedestrian safety sign and stripes for the crosswalks please

    I have reported on this several times and left messages with DCRA about ongoing illegal construction at this site. This morning an unmarked van unloaded plumbing and electrical supplies. They were working in the properly all weekend. There needs to be a stop work order issued until the required review and permitting can take place.
