Dead Birds on sidewalks. There are too many of these birds blocking the sidewalk in Decatur what's going on?

Decatur or some authority greatly shortened the light for East College traffic at the intersection of East College and South McDonough. In addition, someone painted a left turn only arrow on East College for left turns on to S Candler/Trinity. So, if you are traveling east on East College towards the intersection with South Candler, you cannot use the left lane to drive through the intersection even though the left lane continues on the other side of the intersection. This is senseless because, again, there are two eastbound lanes on East College both before and after the intersection at S Candler. Limiting cars going through this intersection to just one lane causes traffic to back up horribly on East College, even during the low volume times of day - and because this left only arrow is so senseless, it seems to be an error in how the street was painted when the new lights were turned on.

Heading west on Winnona in front of #118 in quick succession there is a sinking (and wide) pot hole from a previous repair, then a speed bump followed by pavement elevation due to a tree root. This makes a very bumpy ride approaching Candler; some cars bottom out when driving through it. This is the second report (at least) of this problem.

Some people walking dogs along E Howard Avenue in stretch from Ice House Lofts all the way to Kimball House along both sides of street and also all the way down Hillyer Place are NOT picking up dog waste. They are leaving it in the grass, in landscaping and even on the sidewalks. These are animal and litter code violations. It's become so bad recently that someone is noting it by putting little flags in all the big piles of feces. We need multiple signs reminding people to clean up after their pets and animal waste bag stations. I am enclosing photos of what I encountered on my walks recently in a two block area.

Hazardous Sidewalk in front of Ebrik Coffee Room which landlord refuses to fix. Plywood cover over settled sidewalk trips people (me) walking, especially at night in low light conditions. Sidewalk not covered has settled a couple of inches causing people to trip.

Foliage on sidewalk. This has been reported before. No action was taken. In general, as you can see from the picture, the sidewalk here is in very bad shape. The overgrowth causes children and other pedestrians to step perilously close to speeding traffic on Candler Street. This should be a high priority.

With new businesses and new residences now on East Howard Avenue, parking on both sides of the street has created a dangerous one way street many evenings and a cut through for speeders. On 11/17, two drivers got into a yelling match about who had the right of way; emergency vehicles will have little room to navigate and fire hydrants are being blocked on the north side of the street. Requesting that there be a no parking zone on the North side of East Howard and a speed bump placed there to slow down cars that speed through.

1). Between Barry St and Hilyer on East Howard Ave, cars are now parking on both sides of the street. This week, a school bus on Barry turning left onto E Howard had to move back and forth to not hit a car parked on the side of the street across from the train tracks. The parked SUV was lucky to not be hit.

2). Now that Amazza has opened, parking on that same side is blocking our fire hydrant. It is not parked and is camouflaged.

3). Tonight, there was a standstill in traffic because with cars parked on both sides, the street is impassible for 2-way traffic. I witnessed four cars having to back up.

This is untenable. Either make this street a one-way road or stop two-sided parking.

This is urgent. A fire being ignited in any one of these homes will be hard to get to under these conditions.
