County Roads

Notified About

  • 534 E. Grand River Ave. Okemos 48864 United States - Okemos
This section of sidewalk has been missing all year. Please repair it. It could cause bikers to crash and walkers to twist their ankle. It has unevenly filled and rutted with large limestone chunk gravel. It is located at 534 E. Grand River Ave. near the VanAtta Road intersection
  • 2201 Mount Hope Road Meridian charter Township, Michigan - Okemos
The seam where the asphalt meets the concrete curb has degraded, leaving a deep pothole, right where bikes would tend to ride
  • Other Open
Corner Of Waverly And Sandhurst Lansing, Michigan - Lansing
This corner needs to be salted and plowed. It is a traffic hazard waiting to happen.
  • Pothole Archived
Corner Of Glasgow And Waveryly Road Lansing, Michigan - Lansing
Glasgow Street has some holes and VERY rough pavement right at the end of the street, just before entering Waverly Road.
  • 318 Mifflin Avenue Lansing, Michigan - Lansing
Hundreds of bike riders try to use Kalamazoo Street every day. But the bike lanes along the eastern end of K'zoo are ruined. They need to be repaired right away. For about a half-mile of K'zoo the bike lanes are unsafe to use. They are completely and continuously full of potholes and long rut "canyons." Also, in the vicinity of the US-127 overpass there are no lane markings -- restripe this area.
  • 2001 South M 43 Highway Meridian Charter Township Michigan - Okemos
These intersections are awful. Loose piles of sand/ debris in every corner, potholes galore. The debris is being created from the deteriorating road surface/ enlarging potholes. I believe these are two of the most accident prone intersections on Grand River Ave. after Hagadorn Rd.; they need serious help. There's a collapsing manhole cover on the north side of the Okemos Rd. intersection that had some asphalt thrown on it, so now it's only 1/2 collapsed. Some crashes can be caused by bad road conditions.
  • Pothole Archived
Olds & Williams Street Lansing, Michigan - Lansing
Potholes and rough pavement near the intersection and several spots on Williams street up to Everett Drive, on this CATA bus route. The bus shakes horribly when it hits these various spots on that stretch of Williams Street.
  • 4028-4054 Beaumont Road Lansing, Michigan - Michigan State University
The shoulder of Beaumont Rd. in the north-bound direction just before cresting the hill is extremely degraded making the travel lane about 8 ft. wide, meaning that many vehicles will be swerving into the oncoming lane to avoid dropping their wheels off the edge of the asphalt. The rest of this road is in awful condition all the way up to at least Forest Rd. and Forest is also extremely bad now to at least the Farm Ln. intersection. I used my bike in the photo to give you a better sense for the width of the lane to the edge.
  • 955-989 Haslett Road Meridian charter Township, Michigan - Haslett
There are many very deep potholes right in the bike lane on the corner of Haslett Rd. in the east-bound lane right where motorists tend to drift into the bike lane as they round the corner and are speeding up as the speed limit changes near here. If a bicyclist were to crash in the bike lane their body would be thrown out into the road and possibly run over. Please repair this before this happens to some unfortunate rider.
  • 4678-4714 Van Atta Road Meridian charter Township, Michigan - Okemos
The brush along this part of Van Atta is back into the roadway similar to last year. It really needs to be cut way back so it's not hitting larger vehicles as they drive down the road, even bicyclists.
  • 5435 Van Atta Road Meridian charter Township, Michigan - Haslett
The north and south bound lanes of Van Atta Rd. from near Tihart where the asphalt begins/ends all the way to Haslett Rd. is in awful condition. There are signs of some potholes being filled but there are a huge number remaining that haven't been filled which cause vehicles to swerve all over the road to avoid them. Bicyclists are especially in danger.
Here's a video I shot just north of the Tihart intersection:

  • 4000 Van Atta Road Meridian charter Township, Michigan - Okemos
South Van Atta Rd. (and north from Tihart to Haslett Rd.) has so many large gaping potholes they're too numerous to count. A huge area that's falling off the face of the earth is in the north-bound lane on the large blind hill such that aware motorists are swerving over into the south-bound lane to avoid being swallowed by it risking their lives. The potholes and badly deteriorated shoulder/ edge of the road run from Grand River Ave. all the way to Jolly Rd. Since the road is closed except to local traffic due to the Jolly Rd. project perhaps repairs to Van Atta Rd. could be done w/out much disruption?
