Flooding has gotten worse. Archived919 30th Ave N Saint Petersburg, Florida - Magnolia Heights Neighborhood AssociationThis continual flooding in even a light rainstorm is getting old! Today the water has turned our alley into a river and has made 30th Ave near Sunset grill- West passable only single file and sends a wake well into our front yard! Why is this STILL an issue?

Other Archived6891 4th Street South Saint Petersburg, Florida - Greater Pinellas Point Civic Association
The bike lanes on both sides of 4th St. S. and Pinellas Point Dr., south of 45 Ave. S. have numerous obstructions and narrow to the point of making them hazardous and dangerous for cyclists.
That section of road is very popular with cyclists. Every morning, for example, 30-50 cyclists use the road on a group ride. One of the most popular routes for recreational cyclists takes them along this road.
I request that the lane be upgraded to meet minimum standards of 4 feet wide at all places. Debris needs to be swept and growth in the bike lane trimmed back.
Photo attached documents one of the the problems. Others include debris; trees overgrown into the lane, widths as narrow as 32 inches; and standing water. I have sent Action Center those photos by email. I have a couple of dozen more to show that the same problems repeatedly along this route.
Without upgrades and maintenance, cyclists must weave in and out of the bike lane to avoid hazards. In such cases, it is prudent for cyclists to use the full travel lane. However, many cars exceed the 35 mph speed limit, making it dangerous for cyclists on the road. St. Pete Police might want to monitor this road for speeders.
I’ve included many photos to document the types of problems. I have others that will show that these problems are repeated along the route. These photos were taken after trash collection, meaning those bins in the lane were put there by the city trash collectors. That said, homeowners more often put their bins in the bike lane where we encounter them on morning rides.

Animal Related Archived12th Avenue Northeast Saint Petersburg, Florida - Historic Old NortheastThe number of dogs on the beach and water at Northshore Park has been increasing. Today at noon there were 12 dogs on the beach, most without leashes. I observed 1 fairly rough dog fight, and dogs pooping in the water. Part of the problem seems to have started with the volleyball players who bring their dogs every day, but now everyone else is bringing their dogs. People bring dogs clearly in front of the "no dog" signs. The dogs make me uncomfortable at the beach, scare the birds, and the pooping in the water seemed really unsanitary. I think if you sent someone out on a Sunday once or twice and issued some warnings, you could greatly decrease the dogs.

Flooding ArchivedCherry St Ne Saint Petersburg, FL, 33704, USA - Historic Old NortheastPlease come deal with this standing water issue. People are now injuring themselves trying to bike or walk due to the congealing. Bike accidents have already been witnessed. Perhaps a concrete patch in this area to prevent the water that does not evaporate (it's been 1+ month). It's so slimy now it's dangerous.

215 10th Ave Ne Saint Petersburg, Florida - Historic Old Northeast
This street floods almost every time it rains. Getting to your car requires changing shoes. I purchased rubber boots that go over my shoes and there are times when the water goes above them. I have posted this several times and nothing has bee done. This time I had to move my car because traffic causes a wake that can flood a car.
Please, please, please fix this.

Bicyclels take up the entire road Archived600-698 Beach Dr Ne Saint Petersburg, FL, 33701, USA - Historic Old NortheastBicycle groups on Saturday and Sunday mornings take up entire lanes on Beach Dr. and North Shore Dr. Cars have no choice but to travel behind them. Can't pass them. Police do nothing about this. They only respond to complaints that are happening in real time. Bicyclists thumb their noses at the law that states they stay in a single file. Instead they ride side by side next to other bicyclists.
