Notified About

  • 106-198 W 7th Ave Tallahassee, FL 32303, USA - Tallahassee
When sitting in right lane of westbound lane on W. Seventh at Duval, if the light is red and there is no vehicle in the left west bound lane, then the light will not change from red to green. If a vehicle then pulls into that left lane position, the light will change from red to green. Thus, the vehicle in the right westbound lane cannot trip the red light to green even if there are no cars traveling North on Duval. It must wait for a car to arrive in the left Westbound lane of W. 7th ave.
  • Riggins Road And Mahan Tallahassee, FL - Tallahassee
This is the longest traffic light in town considering the large volume of traffic. Please shorten the wait for those on Riggins.
  • 1900-2004 Centre Pointe Blvd Tallahassee, FL 32308, USA - Tallahassee
This is a bad place for a stop sign intersection, especially when the 5 o' clock hour rolls around. The traffic gets backed up so far sometimes that you can't even see the intersection from where you're waiting. It takes so long for the line to move even a single car's length. On top of the waiting forever during the busy hours, when you do finally make it to the stop sign, your view is obstructed by trees, making it pretty dangerous anyways...Maybe a traffic light would help.
  • 1250-1296 Capital Cir Se Tallahassee, FL 32399, USA - Tallahassee
Turning east on Apalachee Parkway from Capital Circle is a five (!) second traffic signal. That's just absurd.
  • Easterwood At Capital Circle Ne Tallahassee, FL - Tallahassee
How could they hang up this traffic light without adding a northbound right turn lane and fixing the way too short left turn lane for people going south turning left onto Easterwood? This is wrecks waiting to happen.
  • 2605 Thomasville Rd Tallahassee, FL 32308, USA - Tallahassee
Stop light at Thomasville Rd and Armistead Rd is too long for traffic exiting Armistead. Armistead was paved recently and now the traffic sensor does not trigger a light change.
  • Gaines St. Construction Tallahassee, FL - Tallahassee
Navigating through the construction is bad enough, not coordinating the red signals makes it worse. There are green left turn arrows where there is no where to turn, and when the cross street is closed, drivers still have to wait at red lights. Traffic is constantly backing up at green lights because people ahead are waiting at red lights.
  • 3801 Capital Cir Ne Tallahassee, FL 32309, USA - Tallahassee
Another five second traffic light? Seriously?
  • Blairstone Road And Phillips Road - Tallahassee
The light at Phillips is often in conflict with the light at Miccosukee, with the former stopping southbound morning traffic that has just gotten the green at the latter and stopping northbound evening traffic while there is green at the latter and then releasing traffic to a red light at the latter. This cuts the northbound platoon in half for no reason.
  • 1345 Florida 61 Tallahassee, FL 32303, USA - Tallahassee

The traffic light at the corner of 7th Ave and Thomasville Rd needs to stay green for at least 15 seconds after the light at the corner of 7th Ave and Gadsden St turns to red.

Currently, both lights turn red at the same time, causing a back up of traffic between Gadsden St and Thomasville Rd. Then cars turning left from Gadsden onto 7th have nowhere to go, and in turn block traffic.

  • 499 Highway 373 Tallahassee, Florida - Tallahassee

Orange Avenue is a nightmare and the light timing at Wannish Way greatly contributes to the problem. Despite being the major thoroughfare, Orange Avenue seems to be accorded secondary treatment. The lights have been timed so that no traffic ever waits for a second signal on Wannish. As a result, Orange Avenue traffic can wait up to 4 light cycles to clear this intersection.

This is especially problematic as the new planned gridlock on Gaines makes Orange Avenue the only clear path across the south side of the city.

Monroe Street & Allen Road Tallahassee, Florida - Tallahassee
I go to work early in the morning [6:00 a.m.] and the light has just come on. I come from the Sealey School side of North Monroe. Even if I am the 1st car on either side of Monroe Street I don't get an arrow. At that time of the morning the light is short. If I happen to be the 4th car I may not even get to turn left there because the opposite side of Monroe Street will get an arrow and the light to go straight before my side gets any light.
