    Hello,

I’m writing as a concerned dog owner and resident of Medford. There is a safety issue that seems to be getting worse with people not having dogs on leashes and not controlling these dogs in the Tufts park. While it’s great that so many owners use the park responsibly and do leash and control their dogs, a few are ruining it for the many. It’s a matter of when, not if, someone’s dog and maybe somebody is going to get hurt as a result. Please help to enforce leash law in this park so that all can safely enjoy the park, especially during this time of passive park use.

Thank you. We appreciate your attention to this.

  • Willis Ave. Medford, Massachusetts - Medford
The rush-hour traffic on Willis Avenue is getting increasingly bad. It’s difficult to maneuver when both sides of the street have parking. Also it seems like a lot of drivers are being funneled that way through map apps.
  • 31 Clayton Ave Medford, MA - Medford
This car has been sitting here for several months already. It deteriorates quickly and it's eye sore on this street.

Willis Avenue between Ellis Avenue and Hicks is terrible and an accident waiting to happen. I have seen cars with broken side mirrors on the street as well.
This street either needs to be made a one-way or a designated one side parking only. The school pick up and drop off makes this street very Difficult and hazardous to maneuver. Foolish people drive too fast or lack common courtesy, lacking an understanding of how to properly navigate a two-way street with parking on both sides.
Perhaps a morning or afternoon someone should be sent to observe. Preferably not in a marked vehicle so that traffic will act as usual.
  • 67 Winchester St Medford, MA, 02155, USA - Medford
A video camera is mounted between 67 and 69 Winchester ST (pole #645). I'm unsure of the ownership or legality of its placement but a camera with IR capability monitoring and pointed directly at residential property 24/7 is a bit unsettling.
  • 297 Harvard Street Medford, Massachusetts - Medford

This pothole is so deep that any person biking over it is going to faceplant and risk breaking their neck. It is in a area with very low light increasing the risk. Actually there are two potholes in a short stretch of road.
Please stop paving Winchester street all the time and pave Harvard St. instead.

bad a mountain bike would be thrown off

  • 9 Albion St Medford, Massachusetts - Medford
It may be possible the key is broken and he manually has to enter the car triggering the alarm? The alarm goes off every single morning and runs for 5-10 seconds before the car peels off.
  • 14 Higgins Ave Medford 02155, United States - Medford
Once again there was no yard waste pickup on the scheduled day. Now is raining and all the bags are wet. This is a continuing problem.
  • 102 Bow St Medford Ma - Medford
The sidewalk next to our house is continuously used as a dumping area for everything from furniture to trash and trees. We have tried to work with city officials for monitoring of illegal dumping but have not seen any progress. The area is dangerous, home to nesting rodents and horrible to see. This occurs on the public sidewalk and is not in front of any house however my house is the last on the street and abuts the affected area. I want to work with the city to figure out a solution as this has been a problem for a long time.

Why doesn't Medford clean the side streets more than 2x a year? Our neighbor Somerville cleans their side streets EVERY WEEK. Some of streets in Medford look disgusting, especially this year with the black fungus causing the leaves to fall early.

If the city enforces parking restrictions, the ticket money will more than likely pay for the additional cleaning.

    Just a thought. . .
