Speeding Archived515 138th St Hammond, IN, 46327, USA - HammondThere are 3 to 4 men who speed down 138th Street and neighboring streets at all hours of the day. I am talking speeds up to 45 mph on a residential street. There is absolutely no reason for this at all. You cannot miss these guys either. They drive older model “race” cars, super low to the ground, with decals on the front windshields that read “219 Wolf Pack”, one white car, two black cars. They are from somewhere on Henry & Johnson. I’ve seen them nearly hit other cars traveling down the street as they make their way west down 138th to Hohman. Can speed bumps be installed? Can there be a stronger police presence?? This is an active neighborhood. People walk often. There’s children on bikes and skateboards. People walk their dogs now that it’s nicer out. Is it going to take them hitting and killing someone for them to stop acting so reckless with their dumb cars?? -
Cars Driving in Bike Lane Acknowledged7301-7315 Hohman Ave Hammond, IN, 46324, USA - HammondDespite the numerous signs saying "Bikes Only" leading up to the intersection, there is an endless stream of cars driving in the bike lane to turn right onto 173rd St while heading north on Hohman Ave. I do see some angry drivers yelling at cyclists in the bike lane occasionally, but the biggest problem is posed to drivers obeying the signage. I am nearly hit every time I try to turn right onto 173rd St from the actual traffic lane because there is always someone speeding to the corner in the bike lane heading directly at my side. I understand that this cannot be a protected bike lane that prevents cars from entering because it would block off driveways to the people living on Hohman, but perhaps something like the plastic poles similar to those along River Dr/ 177th St that protect the bike path from cyclists could be uses here just before the intersection where it would not block driveways, but would hopefully deter cars from driving through the bike lane. -

Since moving in, they've done nothing but cause trouble. Instances of domestic abuse, child abuse, noise issues between 11 pm - 3 am, and garbage littered all over the street. The police have been actively involved, but would like to ask that if you have any problems with this family, please report it to the police! -

Refuse to pay our taxes but park thier commerical vechicles all over our streets so paying legal /law abiding residents can't park.Hopefully enough proof to finally do something after all these years.
