This is a horrible situation for these innocent 7 adult dogs being kept in two separate dog carriers is Inhumane and abuse! Wether or not the owner is providing food and water, which is what Antioch Animal Services, County Sheriff, CARE, County Animal Services deemed to be their logic as to why this homeless woman is being allowed to keep them hoarded. She has exceeded the legal limit of 3 dogs per household. She has no permit or licenses for all 7 dogs. When you walk by her train of belongings that is along a public sidewalk by a daycare/school, the stench is a public heath hazard and nuisance. There is no way on earth that anyone can say this is ok. This is beyond abuse and the City won’t do anything, but if your a tax paying citizen your held accountable. Something needs to be done for the safety and welfare of these poor dogs hoarded in small carriers!!!!! Enough is enough!!! If nothing is done, we will seek further action!!! Channel 7 on your side!!! 6-1.303 Violation of this Municipal Code

I am an owner of the bakery opening early October located at 615 W 2nd Street. On a recent visit with our contractor at our location, we smelled and noticed a massive pile of rat droppings coming out of the corner of the building next to us. We currently have pest control service who advised the droppings are indeed rat droppings and no matter how much we try and protect our unit, the rats will eventually find their way in considering we'll be dealing with food. As a new business owner and a new business opening soon downtown, we do not want our customers to see or smell or be considered that our business has a rodent issue in our unit.
Thank you for your help and time.

Giant pile of homeless crap at the end of Waldie Plaza .

"Hey honey, let's take the family down and sit and have a snack in the peaceful and clean Waldie Plaza" says no one ever

Dusk to dawn rule is in place for Antioch parks and yet two benches in Waldie plaza are occupied by people who are camped out there for the night along with tarped belongings of several others.

Laws are worthless if they aren't enforced

Today we went down to Monica's for lunch. Their parking lot was full. We were going to work in City Hall parking lot until we noticed patrons had to walk into the street around vagrants living on the sidewalk leading to the restaurant. This is not what patrons want to see as they take their families out to dine in one of the few upscale restaurants in Antioch. If our mayor wants to know why Amtrak decided to bail out of Antioch and why we can't attract or keep businesses in Antioch open your eyes. Kick vagrants out of Antioch take a lesson from Pittsburg, Oakley and Brentwood. Show some leadership for once. FOOS
