  • Bartlett St Portsmouth, New Hampshire, 03801 - Islington Creek Neighborhood Association
Good Afternoon. My name is Amy & I am the Assistant Manager of Wildcat Transit. Our buses go under that bridge 7 days a week & now with the new median it is making it harder for our vehicles to anticipate an oncoming vehicle coming under the bridge. One of our drivers suggested that maybe you could place a DOME MIRROR to see the oncoming traffic coming from Islington Street. We have seen many near misses not only with our buses. Thank you for your time.

This intersection is rediculously dangerous. I was walking with my wife and baby trying out the new path (which deadends directly into the road, then makes you cross the road not once, not twice, but three times to continue walking into town). When we finally got back to the Bartlett road so we could continue into town there is no ramp - so disabled people and those with strollers are now stuck ON A BLIND CORNER with no signal to (fast) oncoming traffic. We took a look at the original plans and the cross walk design was completely different and further up bartlett in a safer location. There was also a sidewalk proposed in front of the moped store which would mean you don't have to cross so many times into traffic. Please please please don't let this be the final traffic pattern here - with hundreds of new families moving into the West End Yards soon what on earth are they all supposed to do if they want to walk into town? Not to mention everyone else like us who live in the west end and made the mistake of trying out the new path.

Yet another illegally paid led vehicle Today I almost hit a bicyclist this time good thing he was quicker to maneuver because I could not
Is there a way the sign can be moved down the pole so that it is in view more through the windshield of the violator
    Ticket please Thank you
  • Cabot St & Islington St Portsmouth, New Hampshire, 03801 - Islington Creek Neighborhood Association

I realize the road repair on Cabot St. was recently completed and a new traffic light was installed. Could someone adjust the timing of the traffic light at the intersection of Cabot and Islington? The green light on Islington is very short. The light turns red on Islington and there is little and many times, no traffic coming from Cabot. Would it be possible to make the Cabot light change based on a sensor? i.e only changes when a car trips the sensor. If not, could the timing be changed so the light is green for longer stretches of time for Islington St traffic and shorter for Cabot St traffic?

Thank You in advance for your consideration.
    Greg Sullivan

It is clearly marked yet this vehicle continues to park in this no parking spot right next to the sign
It is unsafe leaving the parking lot which is also a dead end street of Cornwall Street A landscape co has a hard time turning out of the lot and that was one reason the sign was put up Cannot see leaving the lot has almost caused a head on collision
The owner of this vehicle lives in the area and knows the sign is there yet continues to park there There are other places to park on the street just don't want to walk to far out of there way
Either ticket or tow it so they get the notice And if someone can patrol the area more maybe others will get the notice not to park there either
Thank you for your time and immediate attention to this matter

Caller reports a line of sight issue at the crosswalk crossing Islington St. at Islington St and Cornwall Street. Vehicles travel to fast and with the cars parked on the side of the road the pedestrians are in the middle of the road before being seen by drivers to stop and most do not. Drivers totally ignore the pedestrian crossing sign in the middle of the road. Please review this busy crosswalk area for a Ped button on either side to make it safe for both pedestrians and drivers.

neighboring building is plowing snow onto side walk by entrance door. City has not cleared sidewalks at the front or side of our building all winter and this has been the biggest storm.

Multiple political signs are posted on the Islington Street side of Goodwin Park, ruining and politicizing the look of the public space

Stand under the RR trestle at Bartlett St and look up, there are two sets of tracks. The track which hasn't been used in years has been seriously neglected. The RR ties are completely degraded and pieces are falling down toward the sidewalk/street the most recent larger piece got stuck on the steel about a month or two ago. Those ties need to be removed or replaced they pose a danger to all who pass underneath them. I know its the RR, its seems like a public safety issue. People can be seen walking on them at times as well! Thank you, Liz
