Notified About

  • 57 Marcy St Portsmouth NH 03801, United States - Friends of the South End
Please unlock the public bathrooms in Prescott Park on the weekends. We live here and walk here every day and they should be open for us. Thank you
  • South Street And Brackett Lane Portsmouth, New Hampshire - Friends of the South End
The intersection is extremely dangerous as of late. The cars parked along South Street prevent cars attempting to turn left the ability to see cars coming from the north side, while cars speed up the hill from the south. Can you please have someone address and assess as this is an extremely high-traffic spot during school as well as weekend with Farmers Market traffic. A significant accident is prone to happen here without safety intervention.

Hi. Is the city sure this tree by playground at south mill pond lot is sound? Big hollow rotted out center.
  • 369 Pleasant St Portsmouth NH 03801, United States - Friends of the South End
Please incorporate speed humps in the final paving of Pleasant Street, particularly at each end of the narrowest section of the street. Despite the narrowness of the street traffic does not slow down - rather vehicles speed up to get through in advance of oncoming traffic. Given the inclusion of speed humps in the Maplewood Ave project they apparently do not impede snow-plowing and should help in improving the safety of this stretch of Pleasant St for all concerned.
  • 64-98 Puddle Ln Portsmouth, NH, 03801, USA - Friends of the South End
Because the city's dog park is closed due to the coronavirus pandemic, dog owners are now using the lawn at Strawbery Banke as a dog park. On a daily basis at various hours, many people and dogs are gathering in close quarters. The dogs are off leash and running rampant throughout the museum grounds, and the owners don't always pick up after their dogs. People are touching other people's dogs, and according to the CDC, dogs do carry germs.

Water smells and tastes funky. Noticed it first this AM. Both hot and cold water. Went to the Portsmouth YMCA and noticed the same smell/taste issue with the water there. Thanks.

  • Manning St & Meeting House Hill Rd Portsmouth, NH, 03801, USA - Friends of the South End
There are rats running around the intersection of Manning St. and Meeting House Hill - there was one dead in our backyard yesterday and today we've seen two more run into backyards of Pleasant Street houses.
  • 17 South St Portsmouth NH 03801, United States - Friends of the South End
Many of the sidewalks in the south end, including this one on Marcy Street, are still blocked with snow. It makes it difficult or impossible to walk without going into the street. It appears as though the city plows are pushing the snow from the streets into the sidewalks.

  • 325 Marcy St Portsmouth, NH, 03801, USA - Friends of the South End
The cross walk at Marcy and South Mill has faded. It aslo does not have stripes so cars don't realize it's a cross walk. I believe it needs repainting and stripes.
