Hello. I am a road biker. I love to be on Wasatch Blvd and do the climb to Little Cottonwood canyon Road. As I am traveling south on Wasatch, climbing up to the light of LCC road, the top of that hill gets very narrow and doesn't allow me to be on the shoulder. I have to cross the white lane and be somewhat in a lane of car traffic. Cars are going very fast up that hill. There are 2 lanes of car traffic but I feel that this area is very dangerous for bikers are it creates a "pinch point" forcing us into the road. It is an area of about 100 feet that could be improved. Its a bit of blind spot as it occurs around a bend. Could the pavement be widened to create a better shoulder for safer biking? Thank you very much for considering this request. Erika

This signal has ridiculously long delays to switch for east/west-bound traffic. This evening I waited for 60 seconds for it to turn green after stopping. During that whole time there was NO traffic along Wasatch Blvd.

The traffic signal at the intersection of Wasatch Blvd and Little Cottonwood Rd: During evening rush hour, the southbound traffic on Wasatch backs up all the way to the place where Wasatch splits (where canyon traffic heads east into Little Cottonwood Canyon while southbound Wasatch traffic takes a hard right to continue southward). The backup is so severe that cars just inch along little by little until at last they pass the intersection where the traffic signal is. It often takes 10 minutes to cover the distance from the split to the signal, which can't be more than maybe 1.5 mile. There's no obvious explanation for why the backup occurs, as the red is short while the green is long, but this problem has existed since the striping on Wasatch in this section was changed this fall. It's a real inconvenience for those of us who live in the area and have no alternate route for getting home.

A ditch has been worn into the gravel adjacent to the west- bound lane, creating a difficulty in access to the G K Gilbert Geologic Park, discouraging visitors and County maintenance personnel.
