Vancat lots have been taken over for personal use, they are owned by the city of memphis and shelby co, There are cars, and boast being stored on these properties, used for trash. Abandon cars, 1625 has a car covered up but not running, 1637 car on flat or need a tire parked in front of the home. 1600 Sydney belongs to Shelby County Tax 1582 needs to be torn down a family lives there with small children cars not working in the back yard, 1587 house has furniture in the front yard house caught on fire, 1595 has used tires and car parts inside. Larry Kimble works for the Memphis Light Gas and Water that should be no reason to allow him to turn this street into a junk yard around his house

I read about the requests for speed bumps throughout our neighborhood and I STRONGLY AGREE with this request. I'm also requesting speed bumps on my street also due to cars SPEEDING, raining or not, while kids are out playing. This is sooooooo scary because something tragic is going to occur if nothing is done asap. We've already had a few speeding accidents and a few fatalities that I can recall myself. Yes, the police are called but they always come AFTER the culprits are gone and once police leave, the burning rubber, racing, and drive-bys resume. Therefore, I feel speed bumps are necessary to help deter these issues. Even though speed bumps won't totally resolve these issues alone; our neighborhood would feel a little better knowing we tried to address these issues instead of acting like we don't care about our kids until one is dead. Please help our community ASAP.

People speed around the corner & down this street all the time it’s very dangerous

The lot directly across the street from my home is not occupied not being maintained properly which causes giant field rats, snakes, possum, raccoons,etc to inhabit the property. There are kids that go play in these tall weeds and may be bitten or anything due to this unkept, empty lot that neighbors have started to utilize as a car lot for broke down vehicles which is also a factor why rodents are hanging around. The other lots ate being cared for but this ONE LOT is never been upkept, just cut every blue moon. I think it's the city's lot bcuz the houses have been knocked down for YEARS and NOONE makes it a priority but it's an eye sore to the neighborhood and needs cutting this summer or asap to keep a child from getting hurt playing over there. Please help us on Sunset to be able to live in liveable conditions; right now it's not fair to pay rents/mortgages n keep our yards looking clean n descent but the empty fields still takes away the feeling of keeping it CLEAN n SAFE on our street. These people are new to the neighborhood and they had/have gatherings and DO NOT properly put their trash in the bin. Garbage is all outside the trash can, and the recycling bin also, then they even put extra trash across the street from their house, really? This trash is blowing all up n down the street and the dogs are going through it also. They've even turned their yard into a mechanic shop. Cars are stored across the street from them also in an empty lot. PLEASE HELP! We have enough rats, not mice, in our neighborhood and I'm constantly spending money to kill these rodents but it's not doing any good when others are FEEDING THEM. We can't talk to them because they're NOT FRIENDLY so that's why I'm reaching out.
