Campus Safety Alert: Armed Robberies
Two armed robberies took place south of campus early Thursday, June 11.
Milwaukee Police have one suspect in custody and are seeking other
individuals. No one was injured.The first robbery was at 12:30 a.m. in the 2500 block of East Webster
Place (six blocks south of Mitchell Hall, between North Stowell Avenue
and North Downer Avenue).The second was at 2:40 a.m. in the 2900 block of North Murray Avenue
(the second block south of the Physics Building, between East Linnwood
Avenue and East Locust Street).More details are online at:

The Milwaukee Police Department is investigating. Please call its
Criminal Investigation Bureau, (414) 935-7302, if you have information
about either incident.The UWM Police Department would like to remind anyone who might become a
victim of a robbery to co-operate and turn over any valuables. No amount
of property is worth risking one?s personal safety. Stay calm, get good
descriptions of any suspects and their direction of travel, and contact

Armed Robbery
1912 E Linnwood Avenue
On March 27 2011,at about 10:00pm, two UWM students were walking westbound on Linnwood Avenue when they were approached by the three m/b subjects from behind. They turned around and observed suspect# 1 display a silver handgun and demand their personal items. The suspects then fled eastbound on Linnwood with an unknown amount of US Currency and a cell phone.
The Milwaukee Police Department is investigating this armed robbery.
Suspect #1-M/B 5'8 130lbs -black ski mask, black hooded sweatshirt, black jeans- produced a chrome semi-auto handgun
