    New owners turning a single family home in an R1 residential neighborhood into an illegal 3 family They have added 2 additional kitchens Construction going on all hours of night They had a compressor and table saw running at 3 Am last weekend They have numerous contractors coming from NY every weekend No permits with plumbing electrical etc going on This is not acceptable and this is not a multi family zoned area This is not simply someone trying to sneak an in-law in the basement It looks like they are building a rooming house At least 5 additional bedrooms have been added

    I approve of the city's efforts to encourage mask-wearing in light of the increasing number of COVID19 infections. However, there are few, if any signs at Forest River Park, and the only one we found was tiny, and had no Spanish (text) translation. Many people (even today) were not wearing masks.

    Kindly put larger signage (posters!) with Spanish translations in the parks (etc.), and maybe consider having police officers periodically walking the parks (etc.) to monitor for compliance, and encourage Salem citizens to comply with Board of Health instructions for the good of our community.

    There are 2 sets of chains blocking access to both the beach and walkway between beach and pioneer village. There is no access for people in wheel chairs and the chains are not compliant with ADA laws.

    Sidewalk along Roslyn Street is a hazard. Unsafe for use. Huge chunks have broken away and lie haphazardly in the path of travel.

    & Lafayette. The pedestrian crossing buttons stopped working after the recent rain. This is the intersection of Ocean and Lafayette.

    The ONLY street light in Forest River Park is not working. It periodically comes on for a few seconds but most of the time it is off. It has been doing this for months. This light is required as it is now getting darker earlier. It also helps to thwart anti-social activity in the park late at night (though most cars tend to loiter at the far end of the car park, near the beach).

    This is the third request sent to please put a traffic officer here to prevent people coming into the neighborhood to cut through the Wilson/highland light. There is signage in the neighborhood and with all the traffic passing through it is making it difficult and dangerous for people in this neighborhood to exit onto highland, particularly when turning left off greenway. Please put police on greenway to enforce signage especially between the hours of 7-8:30. I’ve yet to see anyone come and enforce this despite numerous request. The construction on highland only exacerbates this issue.

    I'd call this sidewalk to repair but there's hardly any sidewalk left to repair Garbage everywhere, blocked by overgrowth, old cones forgotten It's the whole block too down to the hospital parking lot cracked and blocked and covered in garbage A real mess
