Hello. I want to let you know that we need very visible signs for the new speed humps on Edgewood Ave where the median ends as you're heading into Westville. Coming home last night, going between 25 and 30 mph, I went over the first hump without slowing down because I did not see it. Doing that seems to have caused a kind of whiplash as my neck and back have been hurting ever since. This message is not about wanting to hold the city liable. No, I just don't want this to happen again to me or anybody else. I live a block west of that spot, so I know how badly people speed. But safety needs to be safe, not cause more difficulties. I'm sure the city is planning on putting up signs, I'd just like you to do it now, please. Thank you.

THREE more car crashes *this* week alone (9/5/2020- 9/10/2020). The blinking yellow light (Ellsworth) + blinking red light (Edgewood) are ineffective & dangerous. The newish yellow posted signs of "Cross traffic does not stop" are *not* working, & we & the neighbors on this block continue to be concerned & frustrated that these crashes occur again & again & again. As this intersection is also a CTTransit spot with active riders, this makes it unsafe for pedestrians getting on/off buses.

Reporting the crashes at this same intersection time & again for years to our alder & the Dept. of Transportation, Traffic, & Safety has led to no meaningful change or increased safety. The car crashes continue. The screeching of tires from near misses is a daily sound. The traffic signals at this intersection cause confusion & danger so no pedestrian is safe here.

We have a continuous rodent problem for over a year now. The landlords have been made aware multiple times about mice getting into our foods,Bedrooms, beds, And into our cabinets with our dishes. The landlord calls exterminators but all they do is try to patch up holes where the mice Have been digging at but The problem never stops. It has gotten to the point now Where the mice have made a home and to our couch’s and into our closets. The landlords have been notified multiple times via text, phone, and in person but they don’t care and try to do the bare minimum.

We had to put up signs, it helped somewhat but there are immigrated residents that do not have great esl skills and they have lots of children. Since we placed the signs it's calmed down, but there are still other neighbors one the building and residents of the complex in general that aren't distancing. I've reported it to the city health dept asking for help and nothing has been done other than us leaving notes and making signs, others in the neighborhood have done the same, even the people doing anti-fa related graffiti had seemingly replaced it with covid19 warnings, which is ironic because the police should be putting up notices, not the anarchists in the community. Please take note and ask that this area be patrolled as there's constantly loud groups of people partying like ours the end of the world. There's also a house down the street from Ellsworth and elm on the right that a bunch of guys hang out on the porch almost every day in a group. The health dept should send out notices and put up signs in the area as there are lots of seniors and children around that need protection and education. And the police should patrol Ellsworth to make sure that people are minding their neighbors. Thanks

Every weekend, a gentleman is blocking the sidewalk with illegal vending between Whalley and Ella Grasso in front of Domino's pizza . In the same lot, two cars are parked in each corner for sale for the past two months, maybe longer.

Cop parked blocking the bike lane (again). Lots of safe parking nearby, this needs to stop happening.

The owner of this tree isn't maintaining it and it is dead and positioned with ivy, oak, and sumac. It is massive and caused damage to property as well. My drive way has been damaged due to this owner not removing the tre. The tree is dropping dead branches all over and damaging the roof as well. Such a big tree should not be planted between two homes. This issue needs to be resolved ASAP. Come out and check the tree out and see for yourself how big of a problem it is. Thank you

There is a black SUV with NY Plates that parks on the sidewalk daily in front of the corner store at Chapel Street and Ellsworth Avenue. They have been warned previously not to park on the sidewalk However, they continue to park there.

I went there about 30 minutes ago and saw a rat crawling around. I told the man making the chicken and he started to get aggressive and kept yelling at me asking me what kind of chicken I want. Than I said “ there’s a rat crawling around right there “ and pointed to it. He saw the rat with his own to eyes and said “yes there’s rat” and mumbled some more words I couldn’t Understand. I left and couldn’t stop wondering why after all this time I’ve been there, why did I see a rat today at this time . I went to a stop and shop down the street and as I was leaving I saw a officer at the exit door and asked him what I was supposed to do and he told me to get in contact with you guys. I feel as if is my civil duty to report this issue, the name of the place is “ Crown Fried chicken” on 474 Whalley Ave New Haven,Ct.
