I-15 S Salt Lake City, UT, 84116, USA - Rose ParkThe "yield" on the eastbound-to-southbound ramp from 600 N to I-15 S is dangerous, and people tend to ignore that yield. The best solution (and probably not very expensive) would be to eliminate the yield and simply make the eastbound-to-southbound lane about a hundred yards longer with a merge instead of a yield. UDOT already does this sort of thing, for example, at the southbound 700E to westbound I-80 ramp just east of Sugar House.

N 300 W & W 400 N Salt Lake City, UT, 84103, USA - Capitol HillWith the increased traffic, businesses, and population in this area, I think adding flashing lights to the crosswalk signs would be ideal.

Recently the local residents and I picked up over 20+ bags of trash from the area inside the fenced perimeter around the I-15 S. on-ramp Viaduct from 900 S. to the 200 W. (& Lafayette St.) as the repeated requests to the city went unanswered, however after this fact we found out that the aforementioned fenced area is under UDOT jurisdiction.
The main issue is the ease of accessibility for homeless/transients and drug-users to enter this area due to two access points that we believe need your attention:
1) The fencing at 200W. & Lafayette St. (directly adjacent to the Trax Powerstation) needs to be resealed as a gaping hole in the fence is there, and the cable that runs the length of the northern edge was loosen and needs re-attached to the fence post).
We estimate you'll need maybe a 8'H x 20'L of fence to seal that (NW) corner again.
The issue is the attached fence (Trax Powerstation) is only 3' high which allows the transients to use as a step to your fence also. (also loose-cable location).
The second access point is the only area that remains completely open of the entire perimeter of the viaduct is from 900S., dead-end of Jefferson St. (along the ramp) Maybe a 8'H x 25'L Quality fence with a few posts running perpendicular to the ramp would finally seal off that entrance point.
We picked up hundreds of drug needles and again a lot of trash this last weekend, but the area does need to be re-sealed, as children are residents of the new apartment building that was built a year or so ago.
We ask that you do what you can.
And as a side note, the top of the viaduct near the actual on-ramp roadway (directly over 200 W. (north side) is the remains of a homeless war. They apparently threw honey buckets remains on the concrete wall to discourage each from sleeping under the bridge on the ledge (at least that is the agreed on theory). In the summer we imagine its going to stink.
Thank you for your consideration!
240 W Brooklyn Ave Salt Lake City, UT, 84101, USA - People's FreewayThis is a sink hole next to a drain in the road next to our business and is causing flooding when water pools in the hole. We would like some one to take a look at resolving this issue as it could cause property damage to the business and is impeding foot traffic on Brooklyn Ave.
