Always trash here!

Two of several fire hydrants on Thames Street that are in dire need of repainting. They are very rusty. Since it’s in the tourist district these small little structures should be made to look much more attractive. I wouldn’t be surprised if more fire hydrants needed to be repainted.

There is a natural gas leak somewhere at this intersection. It is big enough that you can smell gas as you drive through the intersection with your windows CLOSED. It is even stronger when you get stuck at the intersection.

This is the third time reporting this issue (twice to Newport, once to NGrid directly) and it has been going on for months. Please don't tell me to contact National Grid, they don't seem to care. Please don't wait until the street literally blows up to do something about it.

This truck parks here all the time. It is unacceptable and disrespectful to keep parking in a no parking zone when there is plenty of legal parking available.

Issues with the crosswalk on Girard Ave near Sunset Blvd. Practically no one stops, including Newport police. This is a safety issue as the area has lots of walkers from nearby apartments, the bus stop, and the Met School. Just this morning 4 vehicles flew by while I was waiting to cross with my dogs. Girard Ave is treated like a race track through the Northend. Can a flashing light or better signage be added? How about about more patrols in the area?

Street light #5 on Ayrault and #1 on Francis are never on anymore. Makes the corner and that section unsafe. This has already been submitted as a request to fix before

The one way sign that was at the intersection of Kay st and Mann ave is missing and needs to be replaced. This sign is important because it is at the top of the street and people may miss other signs

The fire hydrant was replaced last week It looks like there's now a temporary asphalt patch When do you expect cement to be poured for the permanent fix? Thanks

Please see the attached response for reference. The rope fencing was up and in place long before the parking ordinance was brought up to Council. Subsequently, the decision to ban parking on both sides against the ITC’s recommendation wasn’t decided until May 10th. Can you please clarify the following: 1. Who put the fencing up? 2. Is the fencing on City property or private property? 3. If on City property was prior approval given? 4. If on private, we’re the proper permits pulled? Thank you.

Sidewalk surfaces on both sides of Bellevue Ave. from Gordon St. to Ledge Rd. are in terrible condition with much of the surface a trip hazard and unsafe to walk on. This is definitely not ADA accessible.

The parking lines/restrictions between the utility pole and stop sign are now making it more difficult to access the driveway at 45 pope street. We ask that you please consider eliminating this public parking space so we can access our driveway without having to call the city to remove vehicles. We kindly appreciate your assistance. Thank you
