This is a very dangerous curve. People are constantly speeding and committing road rage. They end up in the ditches, they take out our mailboxes with their vehicles. All residents and police officers are aware of this situation. We would like to request either speed bumps here or to take out the curve in the road and make this a 4-way-stop intersection.

Fully operating a commercial business from residential home (A Branch Above Tree Service). Operates heavy equipment evenings and weekends; Wood chippers, chainsaws, beeping dump trucks burning debris all day and very early/ late (early as 6am and late as 10). Equipment is parked on the property in back behind the fence, on side of the garage, in the front yard and along roadway on public ROW. Very recently (within a 3 months) I believe there was a car accident when a neighbor hit one of his black trucks parked in the ROW in the dark! Traffic often has to stop and wait in the road as he moves his trucks around to fit them all on his property. That block of Baffin and Acadia has turned into a commercial business section especially for landscapers. I think there are 4 landscape companies there and one food truck. I did not choose to live on a street parallel to 41 due to commercial butting up to residential homes. Homes are much cheaper when they are on a highway or near commercial business districts and residents here pay more to be in a residential area like this. Please require/enforce landscape and other businesses to be operated in commercial areas. I see there is no business address listed for this company on Google, no brick and mortar building provided. This seems to be entirely operated from this address when profits should be used to secure appropriate storage/a business front. Please find out where his actual business is suppose to be located, verify that address and find if there any equipment on site there? This has been going on for years.

Commercial Upman's tow truck parked in driveway at 291 Azalea Rd Venice 34293. Gentleman has been violated before but continues to sneak truck there on weekends and overnight. It is there now 9/15 5:00 am and has been there all night and was there this past weekend 9/11 - 9/12. He is sneaky so code enforcer may have to come by early or on weekend to witness.

There was a white jeep that was wrecked between Hialeah Rd and our house that had to be pulled out by a tow truck, very large and long crevice left by the tires of the tow truck or damaged vehicle, many people come very fast around this corner day and night, I am afraid that others taking the corner too sharp will be thrown into the large crevice and be pulled into it, very dangerous. One person died there a couple of years back, same thing. We have numerous pic’s of many vehicles that have landed in this ditch over the years. Needs to be fixed very soon. My humble recommendation would be to put a guard rail along that corner with blinking lights on it. We have lost so many mailboxes, large ruts in our own lawn that we had to fix ourselves at our own cost, because of dangerous speeding, this is just crazy that nothing is being done, I would really not want another death to happen. This has been an ongoing erosion issue. I have a land survey which was done October 2020 to compare to the previous land survey. The comparison clearly shows the massive erosion from the storm water drainage behind Roslyn Road south of Baffin intersection.

There are several homes that are in jeopardy due to this erosion issue. I am requesting an IMMEDIATE MEETING to discuss how this will be corrected.

I am a Realtor with Exit King Realty and I have a signed petition by all the home owners who are affected by this erosion issue thus putting their property in further danger and loss of property.

We are aware that the bridge will be replaced at the W. Baffin and Roslyn Road and we are requesting that the correct drainage be provided for this storm water and then backfilled...exactly like the previous problem that was on Datura.

I request that you contact me immediately please. This will not be ignored and I have also reached out to local legal counsel.

This ditch was last mowed 2-3 years ago. It is growing into the road. There is a mail box just beyond it and is becoming a pedestrian safety hazard. There is a culvert pipe about 10 feet back in the ditch which may be becoming occluded by the brush. I keep it clear on my property, as well as keep the large pipe in picture clear. You recently mowed all other ditches in ROW near me, but skipped this one.
