Notified About

  • Interstate 90 & Cambridge St Boston, MA 02134, USA - Allston-Brighton
On the off ramp from the Mass Pike eastbound, there are no lane markings. Photo shows confused cars. Are there 2 lanes? 3? 1?
  • 79 N Harvard St Boston, MA - Allston-Brighton
I have waited through multiple cycles of this intersection without getting a light for crossing from the East to the West side of N. Harvard Street. I eventually have to dart across on my bike, but I feel very unsafe.
  • 261 Cambridge St Boston, MA 02134, USA - Allston-Brighton
Light stays green long enough for two cars to get through
  • N Harvard St And Franklin St Intersection Boston, MA - Allston-Brighton
Fairly new traffic light put in over summer. When there is little traffic it is not needed; when there is a lot, traffic backs up on both Franklin St and on North Harvard past Western Ave intersection. Either fix timing or put on blink. It was better before the light went in.
  • 63-135 Cambridge St Boston, MA 02134, USA - Allston-Brighton

40 mph speed limit onto City streets off Mass Pike is too fast

local officials say the state has to resolve this issue!

    Soldier'S Field Rd At Camridge/River Streets - Allston-Brighton
There is a deep pothole at the top of the River St/Cambridge St exit off Soldier's Field Rd (westbound).
  • Chestnut Hill Ave And Beacon St Boston, MA - Allston-Brighton
One can clearly see from satellite imagery that Cleveland Circle used to be a true circle or rotary. From the ground this intersection is extremely confusing and poorly maintained. Traffic control is dysfunctional as one needs to look out for multiple streets, green lines and bicycles while navigating a poorly marked intersection. And the lights still go green even when a green line is entering the intersection. This intersection would be far more functional if it were turned into a rotary with a green or landscaped median. This would still support the needs of the greenline (assuming it's too expensive to give it a detected right of way (it's own lane or an elevated route). Even if converting the intersection to a rotary, it would make sense to have traffic lights that go red to prevent vehicles from entering when a greenline train is entering.
  • 108-110 Western Ave Boston, MA 02134, USA - Allston-Brighton

This stretch of Western Avenue used to have hundreds of unrestricted parking spaces. Then one day, the BTD removed 95% of them.

Bike lanes and turning lanes at intersections would be useful. But a double-wide lane, lined with no stopping signs, doesn't help anyone. People who live, work, and study in the area should be allowed to have guests visit them by car. And on-street parking is an important component of a vibrant, walkable community.

The same thing happened on the other side of the business school, on North Harvard Street.

    Please restore the on-street parking!

    160 Harvard Ave Boston, MA 02134, USA - Allston-Brighton
Bike lanes on both sides of Harvard between Brighton and Comm are used as non-stop delivery and rideshare parking from 5pm until at least 11pm. I promise you could make a really good return on no stopping violations if someone would patrol along that stretch every few minutes.
  • 729-731 N Arsenal St Boston, MA 02135, USA - Allston-Brighton
Going westbound at this intersection of N. Arsenal Street, the traffic light has four signals, the 4th being a green arrow (to turn left onto Soldiers Field Road). The green arrow light has been out for months (possibly a year!). It's very dangerous taking a left turn here because the oncoming traffic on N. Arsenal has a delayed light while you are allowed to make a turn (the green arrow should be lit for a few seconds before their light turns green on the other side of the road.)
  • N075 Boston, MA - Allston-Brighton
turning left onto Chestnut Hill from outbound Beacon: cant see left turn light when waiting first in left turn line because the light is nearly behind you! Need an additional left turn light placed across the intersection where it can be seen.
