Vehicle speed is still a major issue on Kinross and Lanark. Several years of requests from residents on this street have resulted in no changes, or even surveys of speed, along these roads. The road is far too wide before the intersection with Lanark, and drivers gain a lot of speed crossing Comm Ave from Wallingford. I've witnessed several near collisions with children, elderly adults, pets, and even traffic cones in the street. This is unsafe, especially around evening commute hours and late at night.
"Yield to pedestrians" crosswalk sign is detached. Given that drivers already travel far faster than is safe here, and little to no enforcement is seen from BPD, the absolute minimum of traffic calming, even in a form as simple as a knockdown sign, is essential. More calming is absolutely needed for the safety of vulnerable road users here, but this sign must be replaced as soon as possible.
