City Street Signs Archived1 Swampscott Rd Salem Ma - City of SalemAre we seriously putting the speed limit to 25 on Swampscott Rd? I think 40 is appropriate speed, but if you were going to lower it maybe 35 may have been more appropriate. Or are we trying to have a false sense of security now? Because that's all it is. What are you trying to accomplish by having it 25? Drunk drivers ate still going to knock poles over and go over the speed limit amongst other scenarios. And it is not a thickly settled. Government is not for telling us we need protection its for making sure things get done and things like this are not going to keep people safe. Personal responsibility!

Snow on Crosswalk ArchivedBell Apartments On Bridge Street Salem, Massachusetts - City of SalemThis spot has still not been cleared. It's a crosswalk that's normally very used and hasn't been all week. Our kids can't get to their school bus stop. Terribly dangerous and being completely ignored.

Other - City Issues Archived53 Highland Street Salem, Massachusetts - City of SalemI am re-posting with the correct addresses, they are from 51 to 59 Highland st. again tonight I had to walk in the street! (I am Disabled with knee replacement in April, I can not run from and dodge cars when I am forced to walk in the street every night for years, All the cars here park on the sidewalk. They got ticketed once but still park "on the sidewalk so your forced to walk in the street! Its on the Salem side of Highland st. and it not like they don't have a driveway because they do! SPD needs to start ticketing these cars. I was nearly hit by a car trying to walk my dog in the street around all the cars on the sidewalk! Apparently the law does not apply to these people!) https://www.municode.com/library/ma/salem/codes/traffic?nodeId=SATRORSAMA_ARTVPA

Line Painting Request Archived68 Essex St Salem, MA 01970, USA - City of SalemThis busy street has just one official crosswalk on this stretch of road, and the lines are very faint! It hasn't been painted in years. People cross here all the time to get to the common (including many children and dogs) and drivers whiz by very quickly. Please please please repaint the lines, and maybe add more for visibility (like the green paint that's in other crosswalks). Signage would also help.

Glass on Beach Archived98 Collins Street Salem, Massachusetts - City of SalemThere's tons of broken glass strewn all over Collins Cove beach. Kids are going to get hurt in the sand. Is there a plan for the city to help with pick up? We're doing what we can. I don't want to see anyone get hurt.

Hospital Entrance At Jefferson Ave Salem, Massachusetts - City of SalemThis area was torn up a couple of years ago and never put back to normal, leaving large dips and raises along with potholes. The stretch from the hospital entrance to the DPW is a mess and really needs to be re-paved. The railroad tracks themselves have raised up as well and it is a hazardous bump now. Have already called the Engineer office and the DPW and both say they know it is an issue but it is not up to be fixed. Mayor Driscoll said in her FYI Salem newsletter to report such issues here.

Other - City Issues Archived2-18 Gedney Street Salem, Massachusetts - City of SalemThese same cars seem to be parked in the 30 minute zone all day every day. Its very hard to find a parking spot now that's its October, Resident parking signs every where, Holyoke square is now restricted to Holyoke insurance and tour buses. How about putting in parking meters in those 30 minute spots on Gedney.
