I spoke with the subcontractor and he told me he is not responsible for the placement as his boss told him to put it back 6”. The abutter is in Japan for the week and therefore has not a clue this is happening.

  • 26 West St Natick, MA, 01760, USA - Natick
Pedestrian safety along Oakland Street, West Street and Campus Drive is at risk. Drivers are regularly speeding at all hours of the day along these streets. Often, drivers do not stop at the signs at the corner of West and Campus. Additionally, the crosswalks have no signage and drivers regularly pass through without stopping, even when pedestrians are in the crosswalk or waiting at the crosswalk. Ideally, speed humps should be put in as this road is most frequently traveled by our youngest drivers who would benefit from being made more aware of their speeds. But at a minimum, more signage and police surveillance is needed.

  • 24 Tamarack Rd Natick 01760, United States - Natick

    1. My driveway appears to be the lowest point along Tamarack Road, even though it is not the last driveway. This photo shows the ice and water that collects in the street in front of my driveway each winter. Even in the summer, after a rain, there are puddles in the street at the end of my driveway, while the rest of the street is dry.

    2. The roadway is cracking and starting to break up in front of my driveway as well. I thought it was only here, but my wife and I walked the length of Tamarack yesterday and noticed cracks in the asphalt from one end of Tamarack to the other. We continued walking down Burning Tree and saw no evidence of cracks in the roadway.

Kendall Lane Natick, Massachusetts - Natick
Reporting traffic safety issues on Kendall Lane/ongoing safety concerns for pedestrians, mainly children, who live on Kendall Lane. On a regular basis, drivers travel on our street at a reckless rate of speed and often do not adhere to driving rules. Drivers also often cross lanes and/or drive extremely close to the sidewalk where young children wait for the bus or walk. We have also had a couple of car accidents on Kendall Lane over the last few years, both drivers crashing into the same tree. As well, some drivers have not stopped for the school bus picking up elementary school children in the morning. There are many concerned parents who are hoping we can do something to deter these drivers. Perhaps install a STOP sign, traffic light, speed bumps? I know NPD has done speed monitoring in the past but this has not rectified the issue. We tried e-mailing and calling NPD (voice mail) but did not receive any return messages.

  • 12 Shady Oak Ln Natick, MA - Natick
There is significant water pooling at the street on Shady oak lane due to drop in level of asphalt in front of 12 Shady Oak lane. There is also loss of asphalt height around a drain at the corner of Shady Oak Lane and Madonna Rd which results in significant water pooling and street flooding with every rainstorm. Can you please investigate and repair the street?
  • Whittier Rd Natick Ma - Natick
Today we were very disappointed to receive a notice that our newly paved road will be receiving “chip seal treatment.” This will essentially turn our brand new asphalt road that we’ve waited years for into a rough, bumpy and noisy STONE road. After researching, it is typically reserved for rural roads for these reasons, which ours are not. Bicycles also have a hard time riding on this type of street and there are many kids in our neighborhood. Not only is the noise from cars driving by much louder, but our lawn will be slowly compromised by stones coming off the street as we have no curbs. Yes this is the “cheaper” option for the city, but we pay our taxes to have nice high quality roads to live on. Can you please let us know what can be done about this? Thank you!
  • 32 Leach Lane Natick, Massachusetts - Natick
A long stretch of the curb in front of our house has been completely destroyed by the town snow plows (we heard it, and the damage showed up after the last heavy snow storm). The gigantic pieces of curb are now on our property and we are unable to move them :(. Some are several feet long. Plow also dug up a strip of our grass. Please help remove the broken curb and replace it. Thank you so much!
