  • Whittier Rd Natick Ma - Natick
Today we were very disappointed to receive a notice that our newly paved road will be receiving “chip seal treatment.” This will essentially turn our brand new asphalt road that we’ve waited years for into a rough, bumpy and noisy STONE road. After researching, it is typically reserved for rural roads for these reasons, which ours are not. Bicycles also have a hard time riding on this type of street and there are many kids in our neighborhood. Not only is the noise from cars driving by much louder, but our lawn will be slowly compromised by stones coming off the street as we have no curbs. Yes this is the “cheaper” option for the city, but we pay our taxes to have nice high quality roads to live on. Can you please let us know what can be done about this? Thank you!

Folks, we have to stop allowing cars to turn left from Pond St. onto Rt. 27 or at least during the busy times of day. It is dangerous and makes no sense for cars to turn left there. Alternate solutions - on Pond St., divert them to Rt. 135 before hand. Secondly, have them turn right onto Common st., left on Park street, and they are on their way. Cars turning left onto Rt. 27 is dangerous for everyone involved. Also, if cars are trying to turn right, from Pond St. onto Rt. 27, but are stuck behind someone turning right, they legit have to wait sometimes 4-6 minutes, per turning left being dangerous and weird. Please fix this critical issue. Respectfully, JW

Kendall Lane Natick, Massachusetts - Natick
Reporting traffic safety issues on Kendall Lane/ongoing safety concerns for pedestrians, mainly children, who live on Kendall Lane. On a regular basis, drivers travel on our street at a reckless rate of speed and often do not adhere to driving rules. Drivers also often cross lanes and/or drive extremely close to the sidewalk where young children wait for the bus or walk. We have also had a couple of car accidents on Kendall Lane over the last few years, both drivers crashing into the same tree. As well, some drivers have not stopped for the school bus picking up elementary school children in the morning. There are many concerned parents who are hoping we can do something to deter these drivers. Perhaps install a STOP sign, traffic light, speed bumps? I know NPD has done speed monitoring in the past but this has not rectified the issue. We tried e-mailing and calling NPD (voice mail) but did not receive any return messages.

My trash was not picked up today. It was placed curbside the evening before so I know we did not miss the pick up time.

  • 53 Speen Street Natick, Massachusetts - Natick
we experienced a minor break in last night: someone took spare change from both of our cars parked in our garage. We also understand that our neighbors at 55 Speen had the same break in last night. We finally were told by our neighbors at 51 Speen that they experienced a similar issues about two weeks ago.
  • Windsor Ave Natick, Massachusetts - Natick
Every day from at least June to September there are numerous people swimming at the boat landing. There are signs that say no swimming but it's clearly not enforced. There are also many dogs on each day and evening. Tonight there was a verbal argument between a swimmer and a dog owner. I believe they are both in the wrong as the area is supposed to be for boaters. Attached picture shows about 6 kids swimming at 7:45 at night. At times people are there well after 10:00 in the evening. I think this has been brought to the attention of the town in the past but it is never enforced. As someone who lives on the pond....I'm very concerned about about the ramifications, such as a drowning, injury, and also people relieving themselves in the woods. Thanks for your consideration in this matter.

Cars actually are still allowed to turn left from Pond St. onto Rt. 27 for some odd reason. I would be here until Sunday if I were to explain why this is wrong and dangerous so, can we please just fix this issue? No more cars turning left from Pond St. onto Rt. 27. Please? Please? Will follow up.
  • 4 Chalcom Circle Natick, Massachusetts - Natick
During our most recent heavy snowstorm, a town snow truck (frontloader) tore up several feet of the curb in front of our home at 4 Chalcom Circle, and also destroyed part of the cul-de-sac asphalt surface adjacent to the curb.
