Notified About

  • 1141 East Passyunk Avenue Philadelphia, PA - Passyunk Square
Christpher's Auto Parts uses the triangle at 8th & Passyunk as a private parking lot. Cars are often double and triple parked out into the street making it dangerous, if not impossible to cross the street. The cars are often parked in so tightly around the business that a person, let alone a baby carriage, can't get between them to get onto the sidewalk. Cars patronizing this business often park illegally at the entrance to the 700 block of Ellsworth, making it impossible to turn onto that block. They often totally block the entrance to Ellsworth. I have never seen a ticket, in many years, on any of these cars. Why do Center City businesses have to obey the law but not South Philly businesses? The Parking Authority could make a fortune if it spent some time south of Washinton Avenue.
  • 1139 S. 8th Street Philadelphia, PA - Passyunk Square
No owners of property at 1139 S. 8th street deciding to build garage on Annin Street. I can't imagine this to be legal.

So going on 4 weeks now that the lights on this intersection have been malfunctioning. All directions are bad, but the lights for Passyunk Ave. are really bad. allow only 1 car to go before changing over to yellow. green light lasts literally 5-10 seconds. timing needs to be fixed. people are starting to ignore light and run read.......in all directions. this is already a bad intersection due to it being a 5 way.
  • 800 Washington Avenue Philadelphia, Pennsylvania - Passyunk Square
I'm not sure what the law is about this but there have been a few lunch trucks popping up in my area. It would be one thing if it was a day operation but they are parked there for good. The one orange truck on the corner of 8th and Washington had a sign in the window recently advertising for a Garage for Rent, which to me meant, they used to use a garage to park at night and when they saw they could park there all night and day, there was no need to rent a garage. I don't love how any of them (3 in total) look and I think it is not fair to occupy 2-3 legal parking spots. Can someone enlighten me about these trucks, the law? I also saw someone urinating on my street the other night, wearing a white apron. So is this where these workers are using the bathroom??? Unacceptable. When the truck has left, to go to the soccer games down the street or a festival lately, they leave orange traffic cones.

  • 848 Wharton St Philadelphia, PA - Passyunk Square
1305 S 9th St is listed on the 9th street side of the building but this does not appear on the OPA property website, the address for the building is 848 Wharton. There is a broken second floor window where glass has fallen out of to the sidwalk in the past. Graffiti on outside of building. Rotting frame for roll down door.
  • 1700 S. 13th St Philadelphia, PA - Wharton-Hawthorne-Bella Vista
Shared use of handicapped hanging rear view placard. The parking spot seems used by two or three people to save spots for non handicapped people.
  • 709 Washington Ave Philadelphia, PA - Bella Vista
Mid-City Tire and Auto blocks 4 public parking spots EVERY NIGHT from ~5PM to ~8AM, then they park there all day.
  • S 10th St Philadelphia, PA - Passyunk Square
On the sidewalk West of Capitolo playground, along S 10th St, there are several piles of trash bags that have broken open and other discarded trash. This is city-owned and maintained property, so you can bet that no residents will be picking it up anytime soon.
  • 1139 S. 8th Street Philadelphia, Pa - Passyunk Square

This property has been vacant for years. Windows are in violation of no boarding up law. Side door has been open inviting anyone who wishes to enter. Unsightly, dangerous, and ignored. All too common. JP Morgan bank owns this property. They should pay a bit more attention to it. This is our neighborhood!

  • 1029-1099 S 7th St Philadelphia, PA 19147, USA - Bella Vista
Every morning buses are idling for anywhere between 2 minutes and 10 minutes thoughout the morning rush hour. Occasionally a driver will shut the bus off, but that is the rare exception.
