Notified About

  • 300-306 Pace Street Raleigh, North Carolina - Blount Corridor
A bike rack or two in the Person St. area would be great!
  • 707 S East St Raleigh Nc - Central
I am so tired of reporting this house, and after 3 years NOTHING sustainable has been done. The same issues continue to persist. The grass and bushes are overgrown. Un-secured front and back doors allow homeless men to enter and exit this house as they please. Half the time they camp out on the front porch! The high grass on the front lawn is also an invite for snakes and rodents. This home is a complete nuisance to our neighborhood, is a safety risk to its neighbors (homeless often build fires at night to stay warm and have burned down entire structures on our street that way in the past), and this home is an embarrassment to downtown Raleigh. Please City of Raleigh, act.
  • 2200 Atlantic Avenue Raleigh, North Carolina - East Raleigh

Over the years, several tickets have been filed requesting a flashing yellow left-turn arrow for northboound Atlantic to turn onto Whitaker Mill as visibility of southbound Atlantic traffic is excellent and the existing red arrow seems pointless. Tickets # 158610, 463602, 489911, among others.

Is this still a possibility for this intersection? What would it take to make it happen?

    Thanks!
    Mark

  • 548-578 Barksdale Drive Raleigh, North Carolina - East Raleigh
There are no curb ramps at Barksdale Dr and Raleigh Boulevard. This location is very close to the city greenway and sees a lot of pedestrian and bicycle activity.
  • Sidewalks Archived
12 East Hargett Street Raleigh, NC 27601, USA - Central
As always I was trying to maneuver through the mess at Raleigh Times. Seeing people on crutches and with strollers being pushed to the curb and walking on unstable grates and rusted covers to get by these tables that are taking up well over half of the sidewalk. Why are other establishments held to a different standard. Before the ordinance took place this establishment was and still is the main issue. Obnoxious and unsafe. I still don't quite understand how prior to this ordnance other places maintained their crowds better than Raleigh Times. Anyhow, this is constant at this place. Why doesn't Raleigh Times have to abide?
  • Sign Down Archived
321 Davie St Raleigh, North Carolina - Blount Corridor
Commercial Loading Zone sign was knocked down in front of 321 Davie St.
The sign is now missing and parking meter attendants are writing tickets for the location.
This loading zone is very important to my business (Crank Arm Brewing) as well
as the other businesses in the warehouse district who need to load or receive deliveries.
    Please replace sign ASAP!
  • 117 Idlewild Raleigh, NC - North Central
There are consistently two women that stand in front of these two new homes on Idlewild. One of them gets dropped off on the corner of Seawell and Edenton from different cars with male drivers multiple times this month. It has taken me a while to put it together, but when I saw her standing with another woman on Idlewild almost every day, it occured to me that she is a prostitute and/or drug dealer of some kind. We often get foot traffic from the business these women receive on Idlewild and there have been many instances of people who are drunk, peeing on the street, and indecent exposure from people headed to this location on Idlewild. On Seawell and Idlewild very close by this house, there are children who are often playing in the front yards. I would like to see this neighborhood become safe for children to play freely and without concern of prostitution or drugs. I plan to call the police and discuss the matter with RPD, but thought I would also post it here to see if anyone else is aware of the issue and can offer information. Thank you for your time. RPD is always incredibly responsive and quick to help solve issues in our neighborhood.
  • 2308 Milburnie Rd Raleigh, NC - East Raleigh
2308 Milburnie has been abandoned for several years. The back window is wide open and easily accessible by both wildlife and people. I have seen kids climb through the back window previously and last night shots were fired on the property (case number P11127158). The two properties immediately west are also abandoned (2304 and 2300 Milburnie) and owned by the same owner. Reports have been filed with the Housing Authority previously. The image will show overgrown grass and a window that was never installed, leaving a wide-open space. In the front yard there is a significant amount of yard waste. With these three properties abandoned all in a row, it was only a matter of time before there was criminal activity. This neighborhood is working very hard to maintain properties and community, but it does not inspire confidence to know myself or my houseguests could have been shot last night because these three properties are abandoned and untended. I know the city has billed the owner for yard work in the past, but is there not a greater responsibility once criminal activity has actually occurred? Do we have to wait for something dramatic to happen? Myself and my neighbors would appreciate prompt action by the City of Raleigh.
  • 616 N Person St Raleigh, NC - Blount Corridor
There are no bike racks along this section of Person Street. If no racks are provided, people will park on poles and trees, sometimes damaging them. I was informed that there is an issue in providing bicycle racks along the corridor because NCDOT has been a barrier. Although this may just be a rumor, bicycle racks are still needed in this corridor (now) and should be included in any future plans!
  • 2401 Bertie Dr. Raleigh, NC - East Raleigh
There is a very loud high-pitched noise coming from one of the air conditioning units at Enloe HS. This noise is so loud that I have to keep the radio on in my house in order to drown it out! I work from home and am constantly bombarded with this noise all day long. This has been going on since May and I now have developed tinnitus...a constant ringing in my ears. This noise level is a health hazard and needs to be stopped! The neighborhood has voiced several complaints/concerns with the school system but nothing has been done.
  • 2 E South St Raleigh, NC - Central
While I appreciate the City of Raleigh having a fireworks display, please consider having a show where the fireworks actually go up in the air high enough you can see them. The show was terrible, all the people around us on Fayetteville St last night were also complaining. You couldn't see the fireworks.
  • 735-799 Holden St Raleigh, NC - Mordecai

Where Holden Street meets Brookside Drive, there is a section of overgrowth that is not ideal. Garbage, vines, weeds, dirty signs, and erosion combine at the entrance to our neighborhood. We are also noticing this is a location for loitering at night due to low lighting and low visibility. With a little bit of planning and cooperation with neighbors and the city of Raleigh, we can transform this plot into a beautiful entrance to Oakdale.

We need the City of Raleigh's help with the following, please:

    - Schedule time with a Parks and Rec Tree representative to instruct on what volunteers are allowed to do with regards to trimming brush, vines and trees along the right-of-way. (Yes, we already have permission from the property owner) Also, instruct us on what plants such as bushes, trees, perennials to plant.

    - Who can work with us to have mulch delivered, so volunteers can spread it along the right-of-way.
