Notified About

  • Corner Of Idlewild And Jones Raleigh, North Carolina - North Central
There are numerous dogs chained and kept in a very small fenced area here. The smell of dog waste is so strong it caries to surrounding homes and to the street. They are covered in mud and waste and seem to be not well taken care of. Concern for the dogs' safety as well as the well being of neighbors. Thank you.
  • North King Charles Rd Raleigh, North Carolina - East Raleigh

The "Midtown Raleigh News" continues to litter the neighborhood with unsolicited and unwanted ad package. The paper flies everywhere, the bags fill with water and debris and this trash piles up everywhere. But they just keep dropping these all over the neighborhood.

I request that they be required to clean up all the trash they've left and stop dumping on people's property unless they have permission from the owners to leave their ad packet.

  • North King Charles Rd Raleigh, NC - East Raleigh

The people running the arm on the trucks don't seem to care if the can is left upside down, in the street, with the top open, etc. They just throw the can down and drive off.

I am getting tired of picking up trash everywhere and having to empty rainwater out of my bin because the lid is open. How about putting a camera on the truck so you can see what these people are doing or follow after them?

I look up and down my street and see more cans upside down, on their sides and in the street than I do sitting up.

The city is charging 5 times as much for trash pickup as they did 10 years ago and doing a lousy job.

So who gives a [removed] about the pedestrians killed on downtown Raleigh streets? Certainly the City , but every time they get questioned, who passes the buck on lighting to "Progress Energy"? When the streets are shadow filled, not lit well, and everybodys favorite clothing color is black it's only a matter of when, not if the next person is hit. Criminals love the dark, the less light the better. Not so much for the rest of us. I'm really not wanting to run over anyone in my neighborhood, or be run over myself. Start the discussion on LED Lighting now, save some lives. Help the police, their jobs would be a little easier with better lighting! save $$, less damage and accidents! We could be a model of energy efficiency, and make the quality of life here even better! MAKE A NEW PLAN TO ADDRESS CITY DARKNESS< SAFETY AND CRIME ISSUES
  • 725 E. Martin Raleigh, NC - South Central

I drive up and down E. Martin at least twice a day while taking kids to school, and I'm always shocked at the level of what is clearly illicit activity - drugs, prostitution, etc. - during broad daylight. The front steps of the church at 725 E. Martin is a great example of that. How/why is RPD allowing this to go on - I NEVER see a police car even remotely close by?!?!

The area around the neighboring mini-mart was a real focus of RPD attention several years ago with their mobile unit, etc., and it really made a positive difference. But, with a total lack of attention, the area is sliding in the absolute wrong direction.

What does the average citizen, who is working so hard to help stabilize the area, have to do to get some support from RPD in the form of some regular bodily presence?

  • 604 North Blount Street Raleigh, North Carolina - Blount Corridor
Pothole at the northwest corner of N Blount Street and E Peace Street. Especially treacherous when making a right turn from Blount onto Peace.
  • Rocky Branch Trail Raleigh, NC - Southwest
Homeless who did not get into the homeless shelter are are sleeping here in the woods between the Rocky Branch Trail and the homeless shelter
  • 210 Wilmington St Raleigh, NC - Central
The Raleigh Times is leaving their garbage cans outside 24/7. It is making pedestrian traffic difficult/unpleasant and is limiting already terrible parking. There are at least 15 cans of garbage/food waste blocking the sidewalk at all hours of the day or night! GROSS! Not to mention it draws attention to their filthy kitchen just inches away from all that trash. Aren't there rules for this?
  • Sidewalks Archived
12 E Hargett St Raleigh, North Carolina - Central
Businesses on Fayetteville St must clear their patio seating from path of traffic, yet Raleigh Times can rope off seating through the entire pedestrian walkway. Why is this permitted?? I saw a lady in a wheelchair unable to pass the restaurant because the sidewalk is occupied & she couldn't get her wheelchaur over the metal tree groundcovers. This is unsafe.... please fix ASAP.
  • 620-698 E Davie St Raleigh, NC 27601, USA - South Central

Myself and others believe that a 4 way stop sign should be at intersections E. Davie and Haywood, and E. Davie and Swain. Drivers routinely speed through here with many children at play. there is a hill at E. Davie and Swain that blocks visibility to the other side of the hill. I live at 620 E. Davie and have a baby that should soon feel safe about crossing the street when the time comes as well as me, the parent. Please advise what to do if I need to do more work to make this happen.

Please put a traffic light here.
  • 527 South Bloodworth Street Raleigh, North Carolina - Central

I was wanting to reopen Ticket 518590 as nothing has been done to this location since it was first reported. Now that the Public Nuisance deadline has come and gone, I would like to know how soon till this location will be cleaned up. While the owner continues to be delinquent, neighbors continue to have to deal with the drug use, litter, vermin, and inaccessibility to sidewalks located on their property.

Also, how many times must a location be reported before harsher action is taken? People have been reporting this location for over a year with no real response. Cleanup has only occurred after being reported and does not occur again until another report is filed.
