    The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing the following traffic alerts for the I-95 New Haven Harbor Crossing Corridor Improvement Program for the week of Thursday, April 26 through May 4, 2018.
    Please be advised: Continuous lane closures on US Route 1 (Forbes Avenue) is in effect through 9 PM Friday, April 27, at which time US Route 1 (Forbes Avenue) will be closed and detoured until 6 AM Monday, April 30, 2018.
    The Connecticut Department of Transportation is improving traffic operations along I-95 in Greater New Haven. The I-95 New Haven Harbor Crossing (NHHC) Corridor Improvement Program is a multi-modal transportation improvement program that features public transit enhancements and roadway improvements along 7.2 miles of I-95, between Exit 46 (Sargent Drive) in New Haven and Exit 54 (Cedar Street) in Branford.
    CTDOT is working to inform local residents of current and upcoming construction activities through announcements such as this, as well as through the I-95 NHHC Corridor Improvement Program website (www.i95newhaven.com).

    EARLY NOTICE AND PUBLIC REVIEW OF A PROPOSED ACTIVITY IN A 100-YEAR FLOODPLAIN This is to give notice that the Housing Authority of the City of New Haven (HANH) has conducted an evaluation as required by Executive Order 11988, in accordance with HUD regulations at 24 CFR 55.20 Subpart C Procedures for Making Determinations on Floodplain Management, to determine the potential affect that its activity in the floodplain will have on the human environment for construction of new residential units under its Project Based Voucher Program. The proposed project site is located at 648 & 660 Middletown Avenue in New Haven, New Haven County. A two-family residential unit will be constructed on the site, which is currently vacant. The 648 & 660 Middletown Avenue site is within the 100-year floodplain designated by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM) panel 090084 0006 C (Inset B), Revised May 2, 1983. The approximately 2-acre project site is located entirely within the FEMA-mapped 100-year floodplain. The purposes of this notice are to: (1) Inform the public of this potential consequence and (2) Request comments concerning: (a) potential adverse impacts of the proposed project on the 100-year floodplain and (b) alternative sites or courses of action that might avoid or reduce these impacts.     The recycling crew was abusive to me this morning. I would've moved my car, if I'd known that's what they were asking -- I thought the man was offering to let me go. It's not my fault if he couldn't make his meaning plain. As I finally moved, the other man started yelling at me. When I returned, that parking spot had been pointedly blocked with a pallet and garbage toters, which had previously been on the sidewalk. This is asinine behavior. I've never disrespected you, but I don't have to jump for you either. Stay away from my vehicle. You know where I live -- have a problem, come find me, @#$%.
